Fushia is usually crowded and by a good mix of ethnicities. It was very quiet when we visited but it was also a Monday night post holidays. The decor is beautiful; good lighting, beautiful linens and well maintained seating; i can see why parties book here. there was space for a DJ and dancing if your party warrants such needs. The food was just as beautiful-tasting!! It did not disappoint in any respects... my belly was protesting it was full but I had to keep going because the meal was so flavorful and just a kick of spice. The staff were lovely and attentive; i got the feeling that even if there was a crowd they wld have been just as attentive and patient. Great eats!!
Good food. Poor service. Mandatory service charge which was not deserved. Definitely wouldn't go back. I went for dinner with a friend. She ordered a pineapple juice. A passion fruit juice came but she didn't mind as she was debating between the two anyway. She tasted it and did not like it. She had no more than 2 sips. The glass was still full. I politely asked the juice to be exchanged for an apple juice or removed from the bill. No. The reason - someone else ordered it and did not complain. Woeful customer service in my opinion.
Amazing... A must try place to eat.. Was very relaxed and stress free environment. Not as busy as I thought it would be. Especially considering the taste of the food, but the waiters are like a comedy act that made our evening.. Worth Every Penny.. And the Whiskey that was compliments of the house for the Birthday Boy went down a treat. Overall a good night, slightly more than I expected on the bill but never the less... Worth Every Penny
1 star is generous. If I could give -5 I would. Food was disgusting. We held a function here in which they provided the food for. We had 90 guests, in which I'd say only 20 were provided a meal. By meal I mean cold Chicken or a disgusting prawn and boiled egg soup. Dessert was not even served!!!!!!!!! Not only was the food that they did provide disgusting and cold. But they completely failed to provide a vegetarian and vegan meal in which we specifically requested. The staff were rude and the owner is a con man. We did not receive the service or food that we paid for. AVOID AT ALL COST. Unless you want to loose thousands of pounds on catering and a standard hall.
We hired the venue upstairs for my son's first birthday party and it was the most wonderful experience for us. The venue has their own DJ system and 2 flat screen so I was able to play own music and also play a video slideshow of my son's first year photos. All my guests said that the food was ever so wonderful and fantastic. The starters, main courses, and the staff who served them are the great things about this restaurants. The venue has very good disco lights and it was such a good night. Perfect venue for 100-150 people and close atmosphere makes it a personal experience for everyone. Would use the venue again along with the food!!!!!! Excellent!
Went to a yearly event and the service was terrible. There was one person serving almost 100 ppl! The men had to go & help get the food out! Also soft drinks were included in set meal and when I asked for a bottle of diet coke instead of coke, I was told they cannot do that! Mains was not bad, has improved since I went 2 yrs ago!
Very dissatisfied with the service - we ordered our food online and after an hour the driver was still not anywhere in sight. We therefore called the restaurant. It turned out they haven't checked their online booking system at all!!!!! They only realized there was on order pending whilst on the phone with us. That's completely unacceptable and seriously unheard of. Surely, if you've got an online ordering system in place, then that would the 1st place to start - checking if there are no orders waiting to be fulfilled? Also, I don't think the restaurant felt bothered to even apologize or somehow make up for their mistake. Really disappointing. When it comes to food itself - average Indian takeaway, but nothing that would make it stand out among other Croydon ones.
Totally rubbish. Manager was a drunk when I complained. He was a low life and penny pincher. Food was awful considering the price. Family run but no respect for customers. No catering for veggies. Menu was dire and misleading. No ambience in restaurant. Avoid at all times...there is better in the area.
VEGETARIANS BE VERY CAREFUL HERE. One star is far too much for this place. On a fairly busy night we were told we'll be seated in 20 mins and we can place the order whilst we wait. Then when trying to place the order whilst we waited we were told that we cant place the order because the kitchen will "get too busy". We were sat over an hour later and then the vegetarians were given meat samosa's and vice versa. When we questioned the waiter there was no apologies. Then we were told the mains were 5 mins away yet 20 mins later we had no mains so paid for what we had and left after wasting over 2 hours and leaving hungry after 11pm. The owner offered no apologies and didn't really seem like he cared. A message to the owner, it seems a few vegetarians have been given meat dishes. You obviously don't care for your vegetarian clientel
Fushia Restaurant is one of the most popular places in Croydon and certainly in my Top 5, possibly Top 3.... The food is great and easily adaptable to all my dietary requirements. The service also deserves a mention - the waitresses are always friendly and you can be sure they'll give you that extra bit of attention that makes you feel special.
