I’ve been coming to the Beijing Cottage restaurant for several years now and it NEVER disappoints! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, but the real reason for my visits is the consistently delicious food not to mention the very reasonable prices!. Whether you are ordering the usual staples i.e. mixed hors d'oeuvres, sweet and sour pork, beef in black bean sauce or being a little bit more adventurous with your selections, the food is always cooked to perfection. Having spent several years living in Hong Kong and travelling around the Far East, I can 100% vouch that this restaurant produces some of the most authentic Chinese cuisine I’ve tasted in London. One visit and you’ll never want to eat Chinese food anywhere else!
I always feel that we must Chinese places you get your standard dishes. This is no different. Don't expect to get an authentic Chinese experience, this is Chinese for Croydon folk and overall its OK. None of the dishes tastes wildly different from any of the other dishes but all of the classics are there, crispy duck, chicken chow mein and chilli beef and they are done well. If you want amazing Chinese food you need to go to China town, but if you can be bothered then this will fill the hole but you may still wish you popped on a Southern Train and taken the trouble of going to China Town although at time of writing good probably make it to China quicker.
Amazing Chinese. Great service and the most tasty food. Traditionally cooked and served in old school style. Not too expensive. .. was a fabulous Chinese New year.
Lovely place, food was delicious and had very short waiting times. Also there were many options available. Will add it to my list of favourite places.
Nice quaint restaurant with friendly staff. The service is good and the waiters are attentive without being g overbearing
Lunch menu is very good value. Chicken spring onion & ginger with crispy noodles was very tasty.
