Went to this restaurant with a group from work and everything was a good standard from the food to the service. The restaurant generally opens at 2 on Wednesday and we needed to get there for 1. They agreed to have the Chef come earlier to support us and the service was amazing. Lovely experience and all around great. Great flavours. Vegetarian options: They have a good amount of vegetarian option.
Presentation of food was good but there was a weird paraffin flavour coming from some of the grilled meats and even one of the aubergine dishes we ordered. Ruined the experience a little The yogurt drink was nice and the bread but a lot of the food lacked seasoning as well I'm giving 2 stars because of the paraffin flavour and lack of seasoning but if those are sorted out easily 4 stars
Recently I have gone through o Abshar with my friend. We had an incredible experience. The authentic atmosphere transported me to Iran, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The highlight was undoubtedly the lamb shank – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Each dish showcased the chef's skill and dedication to delivering an authentic Persian culinary experience. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a delightful dining adventure.
I love Persian food, so when I found Abshar, I was really excited to try to food, and it definitely did not disappoint. The hospitality was fantastic, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was brilliant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any foodie out there. Thank you for the great food Abshar

The restaurant has improved massively. Tender and succulent meat. Perfectly grilled and presented. The spinach stew was amazing, great depth spiked with fenugreek and fresh parsley. The only thing to be improved is if bread could be provided with starters as is norm in most Turkish restaurants. The service was wonderful, prompt and professional. Dietary restrictions: Halal
Have been going to this restaurant for a number of years now, it has recently been taken over by new management and it's almost the same as before. The meat there is all Halal which is good but they have put their own twist on Persian cuisine. It's quite pricey but it's an enjoyable experience due to5 very nice, friendly and attentive staff. The original Indian restaurant we were going to was closed, so we decided to try Abshar and we were glad we did. With my Iranian friend I've been to many excellent Persian restaurants and Abshar is definitely amongst the top 10. The service was friendly and accommodating whilst professional and the food excellent and delicious. I can highly recommend this restaurant for its food and service.
Absolutely fantastic. From the start to finish, service is polite, fast and friendly. The packaging is well thought, keeping the food very hot. As for the food itself, well seasoned and cooked to perfection served with excellent rice and a side pot of sumac and sauce. Huge portion sizes and well worth the price. Highly recommended. 30 minutes ticketed free parking available on the main road parking bays or free parking after 5pm
We had a birthday party, everything was great, the food was fresh and tasty. The staff were kind and pleasant. Thank you to the restaurant management.Food: 5/5
