Nice place and good food, staff friendly and welcoming. Had 3 course meal Prix fixe which was lovely for the price, website menu deferred from the restaurant one on the day, if your not familiar with French Cuisine beware of the Sides as they add a fair bit to your final bill. There's on street parking and a nearby car park called Spice's yard.
I went to this restaurant and ambience was lovely and staff friendly enough. English was not the waiter's first language so there were some issues. I was charged for bread and olives that the waiter offered. At the time she did not say that this was an additional charge so came as quite a surprise. So don't take it unless you want it as theres an additional cost outside of your groupon voucher..... which this waitress did not explain... Food was disappointing to say the least and my medium steak was raw... needless to say. I would not be returning.
Lovely restaurant with great service and food. Have to go back. Defiantly would recommend and go back to have desert. Too full after my main course.
Hit and miss but more of miss. Service is wonderful but food does not meet expectations and are lacking in flavor and ingredients. This is supposed to be French but seems more like just an expensive family pub.
Unfortunately we had a less than acceptable meal here recently with poor to mediocre food and horrific service. A real shame.
Fantastic 3 course meal. Steak was really lovely. Generally had a very good night out with friends.
The service and food we experienced on our first time visit were both good. The selection of desserts however I did feel were lacking in choice. The table next to us received very bad service with one member of the table waiting over 15 minutes for his side dishes of his main course, he had to re-ask. We did feel that the prices thou were far to high, overall our bill should of cost £15-£20 less at least. We have eaten in better class restaurants for less. We will not be dining there again.
Service was good, but things were missed. No ice in drinks, no spoon with dressing for oysters. Food was terrible, oysters were gritty and weren't drained, roasts were both way over cooked, meat and unfortunately the Yorkshire puds which were burnt on the bottom. Fish and chips were incredibly greasy and we needed to ask for napkins to soak the excess. We were the first customers so not sure why the roasts were so dry. Weirdest thing was when asked how the food was whilst paying the bill, i told them service was good but food wasn't, but they didn't ask for feedback. We paid in full and wont be going back
We had gone to the Tapas, but it was so busy that after waiting for an hour for a table, gave up and decided to try Brasserie Vacherin instead. Really glad we did, the service was friendly and professional and the food wonderful. It was perfectly cooked and the flavours just beautiful.Highly recommend, we would definitely go back.
I went to have Sunday lunch in this establishment and I can honestly say I have never had a more disappointing meal in my life. The service was slow, the food terrible. The roasts there was a choice of pork, lamb and beef, you could have a mixture had been cooked to an inch of their lives. I ordered lamb and I had to ask the waitress if she had made a mistake. The meat was pale, tough and did not taste of anything. The other meats had not fared any better. Avoid like the plague!
