Great surgery , lovely staff. Yes it is hard to make an appointment in advance but that is the case with all surgery’s but you can always get an emergency appointment on the same day if you need one and if you see a nurse/practitioner they can always ask a doctor to clarify. NHS is a great thing but so overstretched and abused.

My self, wife and son have needed to use the services of this surgery during the last few weeks. Most helpful practice nurses are great, if you need to see a doctor you will be seen, I would recommend this surgery

Appalling surgery. Bad attitudes from most staff, I was sent an incorrect summons for a screening appointment which was innapropriate because I was pregnant but the lady who deals with this argued with me anyway. Literally have never once seen an actual doctor, even when taking my 6 month old baby for his only ever urgent appointment for an infection, still allocated nurse practitioner (prob better than a gp anyway though). I have had so many issues with this surgery I cannot list them all, I will be glad soon when I leave and move to another one.

The receptionists are extremely rude - they sigh when you phone up to make an appointment - I do not know how they are still getting away with how they talk to their patients. The receptionist even made my elderly mother cry. Every time I go in there or ring up I feel so unwelcome. If you want to book an appointment with a doctor - you have to wait almost a month or even more sometimes! That is not on! They have had a problem with doctors shortages for years now - no wonder all the doctors are leaving this surgery because of the problems they get. I have finally decided to change surgery - I have rung up - you get same day appointments (not even emergency's) - there was a young man who was extremely kind and welcoming on the phone who gave me all the information I requested - one call and it was better than anything I have experienced at Marine Surgery. I wish I had taken this step sooner. Imagine if someone had cancer, and had to wait a month to be seen and things had gone from treatable to nothing being able to be done - no-one should have to wait so long for an appointment with a doctor - every minute counts with some problems.

Needed a prescription renewal which wasn't on repeat, so registered down here as a temporary patient and opted for an over the phone appointment. When the doctor rang he seemed very disinterested and said in a rude manner 'Is that all?' Didn't even get the correct dosage. Thankfully I am just visiting and don't have to be down here permanently. I was being obliging at all times, it's not my fault that the surgery is probably (like the majority of the NHS) overstretched is it?
