Strouden Park Surgery is a vibrant, friendly practice providing a range of high quality medical services to the whole community, young and old.

The Surgery welcomes people from all ethnic groups and we have doctors who can speak Arabic and Polish if required. Services include health visitors, midwifery, nursing and district nursing and are mainly free under the NHS, although parallel private services outside the NHS scope are available.

We are open every day but closed at lunch from 1pm until 2pm, the weekend and on bank holidays. We would appreciate your patience with us as we try to help you and answer your queries in good time.

Currently (June to August) we are undergoing complete internal refurbishment to give our patients a better quality experience when visiting our Strouden Park Medical Centre. However there will be some internal disruption during this time with building work and the inevitable untidiness, for this we apologise. This works includes increasing the number of consulting rooms to 6, moving reception, new waiting room seating, LED lighting, powered front door for easy assess, new flooring.

Our new Beauty Clinic opened in May offering privare consultations and treatments for Acne, Hair Removal, Red Veins, Skin Resurfacing and Tatoo Removal. Please phone 01202 806199 for free consultation and advice.

At Strouden Park surgery our aim is to promote health in the local community.

New to this surgery,. Turned up in time for my daughter, who has special needs and is extremely vulnerable for an asthma review which they had demanded she had face to face, to be recieved by a nurse called clarice. She asked myself and my husband to wear a mask, my husband agreed while I explanined that I could not wear one due to being medically exempt. She said she was not comfortable and repeated her request, or offered for me not to attend my 11 year old daughter’s appointment. I refused to not attend, and reiterated that I could not wear a mask sue to the fact I fainted last time I attempted to. She then again in front of the waiting room asked me to wear a mask or not to come into my daughters appointment. I repeated that I was medically exempt, so she refused to see us and left us in the waiting room. We had to speak to the receptionist who was unable to provide us with a complaint form. I am disgusted that a member of the medical profession would be u professional Al enough to not see a disabled child, but also to refuse medical service based in her discrimination towards an idivudual with a medical issue.
Phone... Wait... Wait... Wait... Keep waiting... Then wait even longer. It's hard to know who to blame but things certainly aren't what they used to be. 45 mins now and still waiting to speak to a human being. Update... It was over an hour and a half before someone answered. Please someone save our NHS.
My phone call was answered within 5 minutes, bearing in mind the staff shortages they might be experiencing. The receptionist was very professional and asked some quite personal questions to enable her to book me in with a suitable GP. I got an appointment for the next afternoon. I can't fault the service that I have received. Thank you Woodlea House Surgery.
This surgery belonged to Dr. CJR Sekhar. He is no longer. Surgery changed hands, New surgery is in place. The name Woodlea house surgery could not be found on NHS app search. Nobody is answering phone 11 am on a Tuesday. After a long time wait at 11.20 am, the message started saying. If the time is approaching 1 pm or 6 pm, your calls may not be answered, this kept repeating many times. Then I tried the consult econsult as suggested on the answering machine. They joined a big group with south coast surgery. I was repeatedly asked to join consult. Finally abandoned phone call after a long wait. Tried consult. I could not find surgery name there. All places point to Strouden park park surgery. Could not find woodlea house. I am 73 year old ex GP. Retired old man needing consultation for 4 clinical problems. I could not consult my registered doctors today. Then I went to NHS app.Tried to register. It sent me a 6 digit code number to my phone message. I put in that number. It says wrong number.may be six times I began to register. Every time wrong number. Finally I am telling my experience. The doctors are good and efficient. I have confidence in them. If I can reach them, I will be happy. It is the system that put hurdles and old people can not jump the electronic hurdles. Please have mercy on older generations. So the surgery name is Woodlea House, Surgery. I found a letter telling the name. But this name is not on the google maps. I am baffled
My husband and I are new patients to the surgery after moving to the area and to date after several visits we are quite simply overwhelmed by the forethought and professionalism of the entire team.
The improvements made at this surgery have been amazing. Had an appointment with one of the clinicians Rebecca, and I’ve never felt so comfortable and at ease. She listened and really made sure she understood my symptoms/worries. Best experience I’ve ever had at a GP surgery.
The doctors there are amazing and really caring. Really happy with them.
I rarely visit but when i do they typically have me waiting up to an hour past my appointment time before i am seen whereby I get misdiagnosed and perscriptions that never arrive at the pharmacy..... the doctor I saw was rather patronizing too.
Really helpful, everyone is so friendly. It's quick and easy to get an appointment.
The most useless and unhelpful receptionists ever. It might take 20 minutes until someone would pick up the phone. I’ve managed to book a blood test one month in advance, but arriving at my appointment I found out that I first needed a consultation with my GP so the test cannot be carried out on the day. A knowledgeable receptionist would have no problem in telling me that at the time of making the appointment. So I’ve just lost my earnings for that morning for nothing. Very disappointing service!
