Exquisite dining experience at the heart of London's luxury district. The moment I stepped in into the dining room, the posh and cozy vibe started to creep in. With the dimly lit lighting, it adds the romantic feeling into our table. The service was friendly and accommodating. We opted for 8 course tasting menu in January 2017. Our favorite was the pumpkin agnolotti, as the pumpkin was tasty in a couple of different ways. The hazelnuts chocolate dessert was a punch of flavor at the end. Fantastic dinner.

At times the food was spectacular. Service was patchy. Both ourselves and the tables either side of us complained abut the incredibly slow pace of the food coming out. We got there at half seven, by half nine only 4 courses had been served. It was a very special occasion and should have been the meal of a lifetime. It really wasn't. No apologies and defensive. In the end we were relieved to leave. There was clearly an issue with the kitchen, and they were happy to leave it unacknowledged and just take the money (including service charge), which means they don't hold themselves to a high standard at all.

Some meals just have you feeling giddy because it's so good. My experience at Marcus was one of those times. Went for lunch which was great value, and was spectacular.

Went here for my birthday meal and had the 8 course tasting menu. There were some truly outstanding courses (namely the scallop and the mushroom dishes) and I very much enjoyed the amuse bouche and the fennel and potato bread. I was particularly impressed that the waiter noticed my boyfriend uses a fork in his right hand and knife in his left and set the table accordingly. However, I would say that I didn't think all of the courses were at the same level and even for a 2* restaurant it was veeery expensive. Would have liked some background music as at the beginning of the evening felt like everyone could here my conversation but I appreciate that's perhaps more of a personal preference!

Great food and exceptional service! My wife and I went here for our anniversary, and the staff made it an absolutely stellar experience. If you enjoy fine dining and are looking for a high end splurge, visit Marcus and you won't be disappointed.
