Always sad when people lose their jobs i can't help thinking if they didn't employ lazy, unhelpful patronizing people like Simon they may have been able to offer a better customer experience. I had a simple problem Simon decided to try and be as unhelpful as possible, fortunately one of his colleagues overhead how he was acting and stepped in and found the exact product Simon had been telling me would be impossible for him to find.

BE WARNED IF YOU BUY SOMETHING NOW AND ITS WRONG OR DOESN'T FIT THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU BACK YOUR MONEY AS THEY ARE GOING INTO MENSTRUATION BE CAREFUL AS THERE IS NOTHING POSTED IN THE SORE TO STATE THIS. BOUGHT A LEAD AT 17.45 ON A WED AND TRIED TO RETURN IT ON THE THURSDAY MORNING AT 0930 AND THEY WOULDN'T ACCEPTED IT UNOPEN AND WITH THE BILL OF SALE.

I brought Wireless Arlo cameras 23 working days ago. I still don’t have them working / or have them. After being told how easy, they were to use and set up I brought the three-camera pack. After an hour of trying to set them up I got on to Arlo, who were very helpful. I spent another hour in the internet chat with the guy trying different methods to get them to work. I was then told that the cameras were faulty and they needed to be replaced. The next day armed with the online chat from the manufactures i returned the cameras to Maplin expecting to get a new box of cameras and be on my way. How very wrong was i!!! Its Maplin’s policy to have everything returned and inspected by an engineer. This takes 14 "WORKING DAYS". I had no other choice having just spent over £700 on something that didn’t work. Three days later I rang the help line, Cameras had not been returned due to them being in the shop still. A week later, they do eventually make their way to Maplin’s engineer. No text message, emails, Updates from anyone. (it had been explained that I would be updated) I rang a further 3 times to find out what was happening. To be told, its 14 WORKING days not 14 DAYS. After buying the cameras on the 08/01/18 and returning them on the 9th. i rang on the Wednesday 31/01/18 (17 working days after returning them) to be told the cameras were faulty, (which ARLO had told me on the 08/01/18) and that a new set had been dispatched. Great I thought. Apart from no one had rung me, asked where I wanted them to be sent, or update me on anything. The text messages started coming through. Hermes are delivering your package today. Got home, No card, the following day the same happened. Finally on Saturday a card came through the door, which said il be round between 12-1500 on Sunday. Waited in. No card, no visit. So I’m now Still without my cameras, still without my money, and no idea when il get the,. As I’m not at home very often. Next time il use John Lewis or PC world where i can get the device changed there and then.

Well to start with I got on very well the lads sorted me out a computer It went wrong once so I had to take it back the guy kindly delivered it to my house it worked ok for a little while until I plugged in HDMI cable into the motherboard this stopped the graphics card from working altogether both graphic cards the onboard one and my own graphics card so I asked Maplins could I bring the computer back down they said just one more time when I got there the bloke was very rude to me and told me there's nothing more he can I should not have open the case on the computer what a pile of rubbish I had to open the case to take my graphics card out to allow the onboard one to work also he told me I was rude to the staff on the phone this is very untrue and a complete lie maybe they should listen to the recordings if they have them and for that they have banned me from the shop apparently they ban me from the shop before I even knew it terrible Taking stuff back to Maplins is a terrible experience they never willing to give you your money back I will never forgive the way I was treated on this date you guys know who you are and it's not acceptable to treat a customer the way you did me although you were very kind and helpful to start with I was told by them that this is not a free place to get your computer fixed and I was to get it fixed somewhere else and he said i was taking advantage of them that's what one of the member staff said I would not do that I could not thank them enough and I even bought a thank you card he said we are not here to keep doing freebies for you well I bought it from them so surely any issues I'm entitled to take it back it's because they weren't allowed to build it on site in the first place there I've said it and that's why they're back them themselves I thought Maplins was helping me not stressing me any more than what I have already been through talk about a bad team

I found my experience lacking the normal wow factor. They didn't seem to have the cutting edge technology they used to sell. It was just another electronic store. Having said that they do stock a wide range of components and the staff are very helpful.
