I wanted a certain air line fitting and regulator, kept getting told to get the smaller regulator without them knowing how much I use my compressor. Eventually he sold me the bigger one with thr adaptors I needed, very odd experience

Been waiting for 4 weeks for a pump to be delivered as they said they had it in stock, a month later and I have all my pipes and fittings but still no pump. The customer service was brilliant until the items were paid for and now I just keep getting the run around... avoid if you don't want the aggravation....
Was more interested in shutting the shop early then actually selling me something or being actually useful. Hears a hint for you. If you don't like retail then I suggest don't work in retail. Won't bother next time.
I needed a staple gun for my upholstery projects and internet searches showed that Machine Mart was one of the few places that I could get a decent one. The staff greeted me as I came in and asked if they could help. They showed me several different options and were able to answer all my questions and offered staples and nails to go with my choice. Couldn't fault the service and all Covid compliant.
I have not ever been in the store but the creepy men that work in there constantly ogling the students walking past is enough to put anyone off. As a female I would not feel comfortable entering an environment like this and me and several friends are aware of this whilst walking to sixth form in the mornings. I thought it would of stopped between lockdowns but going back to Sixth form last week has proved it’s worse than ever. Maybe Machine Mart need to offer support to these workers and maybe educate them on appropriate behaviour in today’s society. Thanks.
I had a lot of fun last time I went here. I wanted a site transformer and a few other items. The staff welcomed me and asked if they could help - immediately pointing me at the slightly used and heavily discounted transformer. We then went through the other items and examined specs and the like. I felt valued as a customer and god a bargain to boot!
Excellent helpful staff in the Colchester shop. Will certainly be back to buy more tools. Thank you for your great attitude at a time when many shops are struggling with their customer service skills.
Great variety of products. Waiting too long to receive product that was on catalogue
1, made a order click and collect, when I arrived to collect my item I was told it wasn't in stock or hadn't come from the main stores. I was told I'll have to come back despite the fact it took me an hour to get there... After looking round the store I came across the compresser that I had ordered on line so I bought it. The staff spoke to me as if I was an idiot. A very unpleasant moment I just wanted to pay for the item and get. 2. After getting home with my item I realised I need more fittings so I return a couple of days later only to be confronted by the rude staff once again, I don't have much knowledge of air compressor fittings so I was somewhat in there hands. After being spoken down to yet again I came away with a load of fittings only to find out once I got home half of the fittings fitted. I'm yet to return to Colchester to experience another round of disasters and abuse.
