I've always loved wandering around Maplins & the staff are so helpful & friendly. It's a shame they're closing down

Prices are not the best, but the stock is relatively large. When an item could not be obtained in this outlet, the staff immediately (without prompting) located the same device at a store in a nearby town. Maplin's Internet site offers up-to-the-minute stock levels at all its stores.

Fantastic place to go for electronic kit, from remote control UFO's to portable hhd drives. Good staff who are friendly & helpful.

Maplin is now just a big gadget shop selling overpriced toys. No longer any use to the hobbyist. Better off online.
