I would say about 40% of the time that I go into my nearest store for that " One Thing" I need "right Now"...They don't have it in store! OK, i understand that they can't stock every thing, but I only buy audio connecting and patch cables, plugs and adapters. I called in the other day for a pair of Neutrik NP2X Jack plugs. The first assistant didn't know what they were, ( fair enough ) and I explained to her what they were. Her colleage said that they were not in stock. He could order them for pick up in store in 3-5 working days...erm, ok. This is friday evening about 6pm, so he was basically saying that it could take a full week! ( looks like, that " One Thing, Right Now" Need of mine is not being fulfilled on this visit! ). So, back at home I checked the web again to see if they were "web only" Items, and I had not noticed it. To my surprise, they were not, and the ordering system said there were 2 in stock for me to click and collect..whats that all about? ( either the guy in store didn't really know what I wanted, or couldn't be bothered to check stock ) Don't get me wrong. The staff are usually very helpful and knowledgable ( in my limited experience ) but this really wound me up! If I could have,. I would have bought from somewhere else, but I got them from my next nearest store ( 6 miles ) They are £1.67 cheaper at a competitors retail/web store and £2.12 cheaper at VDC trading (web ) so, as some customers have already stated - not the cheapest! These two stores are based in Liverpool ( I think this review may be going on another branchs reviews, if so, sorry! ) Rant Over !, Brian Elmer.

Always a good experience with nice customer service the staff are always happy to help with any questions you may have about all sorts of products. Some products can be overly expensive for not much gain but most products are fine in terms of price.

Much like any Maplin, this sells a great variety of things that you will not find elsewhere on the highstreet. The prices are almost always very reasonable. There is always something though that you hoped they stocked but they don't. Not their fault that they cannot meet my eclectic needs but I rarely find myself buying there.

Ok. Not the place to source your pc build stuff from if you want the best value. However, they do have some cool stuff, and I got a refund on something once with no fuss.
