Terrible experience . Nothing short of something out of Kafka , and especially as I had spent loads of money with them. Completely messed me around over an M Audio item that clearly didn't work properly from day one due to a gradual static distortion via the crappy C usb that they themselves admitted they didn't like. Backwards and forwards like a bloody yoyo. Regardless of them testing it the sound continued to degrade over an hour or so. Completely unusable for any length of time . Further complaining led me to believe they were going to refund me despite being in the full knowledge the item no longer had its original box. This was specifically made clear over the phone as it had been an issue when the problem first came to light . Everything other than the box returned to them and then they refused a refund for guess what ?? ''it didn't have its original box''. Instead I was to have to pay £4 for it to be returned back to me or they would destroy it . All protests ignored, all evidence as to the wider problems other people have had with this device ignored. No mention of a solution if the device was in truth ''not faulty'' as in why don't they sell it as a used device on my behalf . No, every logical argument circumvented , even to the point that any device comes as 2 things , both hardware and software. So on that basis if it is not a hardware issue, by what logic is the consumer responsible for the software issue?? Most other manufactures supply patches for their devices , why not M Audio?? The answer : because it is not a software issue in this case . You need this sort of experience like you need a bullet in the head . Best avoid from the outset sellers who cannot stand by their recommendations. Friendliness (which they all are whilst getting money off you) and being cheaper than others only has so much mileage. You need sellers who really know the ins and outs of the products they are selling . To flog you something and then at a later date when its too late for you they tell you '''in a friendly manner '''' 'they hate USB C'' is nothing short of a sick joke, as it clearly indicates they know you are right but they are going to do sweet f*** all about it !! For the record M Audio 2x2 has a 23% 1star review on Amazon, and gets a complete slagging off for its USB C on other sites...and seemingly their new stuff has returned to usb B which speaks volumes !. All this Music Matter just circumvent as if it is not there. Finally the bland response like the one below by Music Matter does not dig them out of the hole. They recommended a product which they now seek to 'get out of responsibility for' by raising a ''technicality'' above all else. Update 26/04. After all this unnecessary hassle they had to refund me due to their contravention of the Consumer Rights act of 2015. But they only did this after 3 warnings ......

Always cheaper than anywhere else and with a brilliant new store. Great staff too. Bought a Roland System 1 from Matt. £100 cheaper than some other stores. No hesitation in recommending Music Matter.

Just spoke to them on the phone regarding a Refurbished Drum Kit, and the customer service is brilliant, friendly, and totally not condescending at all! Will be buying plenty of kit through this store in future.

Lee & the guys at Matter really know their stuff. Highly knowledgable about production and DJ gear including Native Instruments to Pioneer to Akai and high end recording studio solutions too. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service! Been on two occasions recently and had fantastic advice from both Lee and Chris. What I really appreciated was the fact that they took the time to really listen to my needs (I'm a novice) and offered me a range of appropriate solutions that were not just the most expensive but rather were the best tools for the job based on their first rate knowledge of the industry. So top class service and would not hesitate to go back. Awesome!
