Story

We are situated in the north side Belfast, in Newtownabbey,10 minutes’ drive from the Sandyknowes roundabout off the M2. The store is based in Hillside NurseryCentre, who has a great coffee shop to help make it a good day out.



We have just opened in June and are still improving our ShopToday. At 2,500 sq. ft. indoor and 1,800sq. ft. outdoor, we can offer something for every fishkeeper.




The main centre piece of the shop is a 5,000L display pond filtered by a Nexus system. This iscurrently under construction, but will be open again after Christmas to displayour large Koi and Sturgeons. We willalso be able to offer customers the chance to feed these fish.




Our shop systems have almost 200 tanks with Coldwater fancy goldfish, tropical and marine fish. On the marines we have three large coral trays heavily stocked with a wide rangeof handpicked coral from all over the world. We also have a few display tanks for Discus, Lake Tanganyika Cichlidsand a new reef setup which is still work in progress.




Outside, we have 9 vats with various sizes of goldfish, highgrade koi, sturgeon, orfe and tench. All our Koi come from proven KHV and SVC free sources and are handpicked early each year to guarantee good quality. To backthese up, we have one of the largest water gardening sections in Northern Ireland, with a massive selection of pond plants in season.




We specialise in marine fish and corals, African lake cichlids, shrimp setups, L number catfish and livebearer tropical fish. So whether you’re after a guppy, commongoldfish or some nice SPS coral, we have it all.




We have all major brands in store including Blagdon, JBL,Tetra, Interpet, Red Sea (Platinum Dealer), D&D, Fauna Marin to name but afew. If we don’t stock it, we can special order it in.




Large displays of aquariums are on show in store and special orders arrive on a monthly basis. We stock all sizes from small starter tanks up to large marine systemised setups. We can also offer a home delivery option and 0% finance is also available.




All of our staff are keen fishkeepers and have a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of aquatics, not to mention extremely helpful.
