We had a great family day out at Exploris Aquarium, I hadn't been in years and was really impressed with the upgrades that had been made! It used to be much smaller, you could have made your way around everything in less than half an hour. But they have added so much, including an outdoor section with picnic tables which allowed us to sit down to feed our baby without getting in the way. We'll definitely be back!
Really great afternoon enjoyed at Exploris. This place is so improved and I recommend all to visit, there is so much to see. I even rate the food in the cafe highly. At the end of our visit we both had a really delicious late lunch.
A small aquarium packed with fun. Pleasantly surprised to see other types of animals not from the sea. There is a soft play area for kids too. Restaurant serves decent food with a nice view. Great place to bring your kids to have a day out.
An excellent place for kids day out. Beautiful fishes and very helpful staff. It was an educational day for us all A very good restaurant inside. You could cover the aquarium in couple of hours.
Tickets are best being bought beforehand. We had a small 10 minute wait to get in as it runs on a red light, green light so not many people are waiting round reception. Our 5 year old enjoyed the experience so much especially as he is into sharks at the moment. He loved watching the shark swim around and also seeing the crocodile. Soft play was a huge hit with them as well.
Wonderful aquarium, great for my 1yr old - sensory overload! Some outside space with seals, otters, penguins and birds but mostly indoors so a great wet weather activity! Spent 3.5hours there, the restaurant had lovely food reasonably priced as well as a reasonably priced gift shop. The soft play was a perfect little break. A couple of keeper talks and jam packed with information boards and screens especially about the rescue seal element made this great for me too. Really great day!
We were very impressed and was surprised how much this place had to offer. It's a great few hours lots to see, loads of seaside in magnificent tanks. A very well kept place and outside otters, penguins, seals with various feeding times throughout the day. We had s great time and finished off at the lovely reasonable cafe and gift shop.
Brilliant family day out. Lots to see and do for kids of all ages. Really clean and well organised. Plenty of parking spaces. Friendly and helpful staff. The cafe/restaurant is great with a wide variety of menu options including vegetarian options. Will definitely be back!
Place has changed dramatically I was last there! My brother used to work there as part of the Seal Sanctuary. Delightful place to take the family and enjoy some educational fun! Lol
Exploris. A Great day out over the Christmas break. We haven’t been able to get down for a while so we took advantage over Christmas, we got chatting to one of the guys from exploris and he was very knowledgeable about the fish especially the Pufferfish, but the highlight was definitely the penguins especially as they had their Tuxedo’s on for our visit A lot of care was taken in regards to Covid, there are a lot of hand sanitiser stations all over.
