What beautiful views from this pub!! Stunning!! And possibly the nicest beer garden in South Wales to boot. To go along with the view they have tasty food, tasty ale and top quality staff. It's a but pricey but I suppose you get what you pay for, I would definitely recommend it.
Excellent food, lovely staff, well worth a visit. Unlike some other venues the majority of the menu was available early evening. Visiting from Spain but will definitely return next time.
Food was lovely and Sunday lunch is a absolute must! The place was packed so if your going for a meal make sure you book. Staff were busy most of the tike so an extended wait however no too long

Beautiful food at the Maenllwyd Inn Rudry. Very friendly and helpful staff! Highly recommend going here.
Lovely old country pub, just a few miles outside of a busy city. Relaxed friendly atmosphere, good menu and decent beers. Dog friendly in the bar area & pleasant beer garden with country views. I knocked a star off as our meal was cold first time round, but this was quickly resolved. Would recommend
Fabulous lunch, just what we needed after a hike over the ridge from Cefn Onn. Great service also Gave us enough energy to walk to Ruperra Castle
Food was fantastic. Great choice available. Pub classic, specials, fish - all reasonably priced. Plenty of drink yo choose from. Service was quick and easy.
Wife and I thought we would try the Maenllwyd as we hadn't been there for a while. We got there a bit late but were warmly greeted and shown to our seats. Venue was busy which I thought was promising. Starters Korean Chicken and Chicken Pate. Korean Chicken was very salty but that's part of Korean food I think. I ordered a filet steak, medium rare. Wife ordered sirloin, medium. My medium rare steak arrived and was evidently as black as a piece of coal. Cutting in to it, it was over done. I mentioned this to the waitress who apologised and took my food away. She returned within minutes with my plate, minus a steak?! So I'm sat there with a plate of chips and a side salad. This is an odd pracitce. If I cooked a burger and someone didn't like the burger, I wouldn't say "right eat the bun, I'll be back with a new burger"..... I would have thought I would have received a whole fresh new meal? Eventually I was brought a new steak, which again wasn't great but by this point I was hungry and would have eaten the beer mat. The manager did apologise and took the price of the steak off the bill which although I appreciate I think is acceptable. Both steaks had a significant taste of burnt or heavily chargrilled? A steak should taste of steak, not charred. The menu aslo states "triple cooked chips" these chips were not. They were slightly better than oven chips but not much. Overall a bad experience. The food was on par with a Wetherspoons, which is not what I wanted for a date night with the wife after arranging a baby sitter etc. Photos are of my starter, my filet steak minus the steak and a lack lustre garlic bread which we left. Wouldn't go back anytime soon.
