We were able to grab a last minute table for a group of eight of us which was great. When we arrived the restaurant was nearly full to capacity so reservations are recommended. The garlic scampi is absolutely delicious. The rest of the food for me was just okay. I had the mixed skewer and while it was nice, the meat was a little dry for me. The side of potatoes were flavourless but the peas were surprisingly good. We had two servers while there, one was really lovely and helpful and the other when we asked if they recommended any wines just bluntly said 'there are lots of wines to choose from' and generally seemed annoyed at us being there. Overall, nice enough restaurant and it's clearly very popular but I probably wouldn't return.

Wow wow wow. Main reasons, the food and the price. The food is quality and is everytime without fail and for amazing food the fills you up (I'm not a small eater) along with a pint for less than £20 who can complain. Certainly not me that's for sure. The extra bit, I mostly eat alone on business but the atmosphere doesn't phase me at all. The staff are excellent and I instantly feel part of the restaurant rather than 'the loner in the corner'. I've also been with my wife and it's all of a sudden its romantic and the lighting sets the mood perfectly. Not too dark but not blaring lights. Often you see groups of people and they always seem to be enjoying their time there. If you find yourself looking for a good meal, no matter the occasion scribble this place down before making your final decision. GREAT FOOD, good people, good beer, great venue and amazing prices. See you next time I'm in Cardiff for sure!

Food is simple yet well done. Really busy place, you will need to book. Great for groups. Good service.

Fabulous evening for my daughter's 50th. Food was stunning as usual. The staff were their usual friendly and professional selves. Happy family times.

Being Portuguese and finding this pearl in Cardiff was awesome. The place was packed and the skewers were amazing. Either beef or monkfish.
