Very French, quite small and cosy. The service is good but the food… is amazing! Gosh, the fish was incredible! Expect lots of delicious sauces with everything French to the core and the menu is simple and easy. Strongly recommended.
Sunday dinner with friends We had one of the best dinners we ever had in the past 24 months.Food was out of this world, well balanced, full of flavours and plating was excellent I don’t know why they don’t have a Michelin star Thank you for this lovely evening
A cosy French resto in Kew! Their menu is written in English and offers elegant, tasty dishes such as roasted Barbary duck breast with cardamom jus and peach and lettuce. Their starters of rabbit and pork terrine with gherkins and raspberry vinaigrette .. simply delish! There’s outdoor seating and cosy indoor seating during winter. Interesting interiors, unusual French ambience. If you don’t have time for a Eurostar ride across the channel but you’re craving the delicacies of French cuisine, this is the place. Open for both lunch and dinner. On-street parking. Just a short walk from Kew station if coming by train. Strongly recommended.
Lovely place with delicious food. It is perfect for lunch or dinner. The menu can satisfy almost everyone including vegetarian. I had a warm salad with courgettes, fish and crab with gratin and vegs on a side and raspberry desert. I also very much enjoyed a friendly atmosphere and french music. Thank you guys, great job, well done!
Lovely cosy French restaurant next to Kew Gardens Station, which is quite pricey for the portions served. But the bread basket is complimentary and the food is undeniably tasty. They have al fresco seating but only 1unisex toilet. Even during the busy lunch hours there was only 1 waiter. However, service was fine because, the restaurant is never crowded I believe given the price and most families are visiting with children.
Food: average Atmosphere: cosy Hygiene: not clean Attitude: low class Service: below average Price: cheap but overpriced for the quality PS: The restaurant claimed this to be a fake review: this review was written after a dining on the 23rd of Dec 2022 invited there through a friend dining of 4 people for dinner Specifically: - The service specially wine-pouring was way below acceptable. The lady waitress poured wine dripping all over the table and on one of us. This happened every time she was pouring and asked her not to pour any more. - Forks and knives were not cleaned properly remnants of food was on them, asked to change them - The steak was wrongly cooked asked for a medium-rare and a well done came, was sent back to the kitchen and a new steak was prepared cooked properly and was good - Dessert menu was not given to every person, when asked for the missing, the waitress said "try to share the menu". Decided not to have dessert and go to another restaurant which was by far a better experience In general, food taste and quality is average good steak, below average chicken, didn't try dessert. The service quality however shadows the overall experience by far. The aim of this review is not to lower the team moral and affect the business. Why should someone write a fake review? I believe the restaurant can go through the details mentioned here, hire someone who doesn't work like they are hating the customers and try to enhance their service quality. This will definitely affect the business in a positive way. Hope this review will help.
Great choice. Lovely lunch enjoyed here, wanted to try for ages and got our turn. A outside table on the pavement. Friendly member of staff, small but well thought out menu with something for everyone. Very much enjoyed the Fish and Rabbit. Dessert was a real treat as well. Look forward to heading back and being able to enjoy a inside table soon. Thank you.
