Had a great meal. Staff were attentive but not overly so. Desserts were perfection Food: 5/5
Overall: High Road Brasserie is downstairs from High Road House, part of Soho House. You can therefore expect a reasonably high standard and it did not disappoint. Nothing seemed to be a problem for the staff here and were all so lovely and accommodating. There was a good balance which they got right. A nod to the chefs for the presentation as well. In a nutshell unlike this review, it’s reliable Food: Brasserie style. Something for everyone What I liked: • Great, friendly service • Good size menu • Warm bread! • Good presentation • Good price point • Very clean What I didn’t like: • Unfortunately a number of items including things we wanted were off the menu on this visit Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value? YES Price Point: $$ Vegetarian options: There’s a fair number of vegetarian items for the non meat eater to choose from. Dietary restrictions: The staff are all clued up and make sure they ask if there are any dietary requirements or allergies they should be aware of. Good skills! Parking: Side roads off Chiswick High Road all have limited paid parking. If you can find parking it will be close by and not too far to walk. Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly. Plenty of space both in and out to comfortably accommodate everyone. Wheelchair accessibility: Absolutely fine. Wide entrance, ample space between tables and not at all over crowded. Everyone will be comfortable here.
Just had the fish & chips here and how disappointing! The batter on the fish was soggy, spongy and so thick. When asked about the batter to the waitress, she said it has to be that soft and thick, otherwise the fish would fall apart. The fish inside was slightly grey with a strong fishy taste, making me think it probably wasn't as fresh as it could have been. Asking for a fresh pressed juice, it came in a bought plastic bottle....certainly not freshly pressed. This I changed for a Lucky Saint beer and glass of water. On the plus side, the chips were nice, but with a bill of over £31 for 1 poor fish & chips and 2 drinks, I won't be returning.
Great place for a spontaneous lunch. Plenty of vegetarian options and most of the dishes are gluten-friendly. Thank you Luis for a friendly service! Vegetarian options: Endive salad is delicious!
Service is good food is good, price is high side, so value right on the tipping point . Yet good for a couple or friends. The pork loin was tender, the steak was Ok. The staff are extremely professional and well trained and with warmth. Service was prompt yet unrushed
Nice place with well done food, service is pretty attentive and efficient. Been here for brunch and lunch on different occasions and it’s been pretty consistent.Food: 5/5
We had a delicious weekend brunch - favourites are poached eggs and the blueberry pancakes. Homemade hashbrowns were tasty. Good portions. Staff were so polite and attentive. My only criticism is some elements of the vegetarian brunch were quite plain e.g spinach. But that’s more of a personal preference.Food: 5/5
We used to come to High Road Brasserie very often. Food was always good. Today we ordered gazpacho soup and steak tartar as a starters and mussels and salmon as a main courses. My gazpacho was perfect 10 out of 10, but salmon was not as tasty as usual something was missing. Wine list is great, we had primitivo and it was beautiful. We will definitely be back
We always walk past High Road Brasserie on Chiswick High Road, each time commenting how busy this spot was. We finally tried it out for brunch on a Saturday. It’s a very trendy and Hip spot. Great vibes and relaxed decor. The food was decent. The burger was huge and the fish and chips was good. Steak was average and croque was nice. Good service too.
Easy to find on Chiswick High Road, payable parking nearby and on Sundays its free parking. Greeted well by staff and tested well. Table that we chose so that was nice. They don't hover over you so that's a nice thing and give you time to talk and see the menu. They had a lot of own brand drinks which was lovely and some well known brands also. Food came quickly and hot and after a few minutes was asked if everything was OK unlike some places where you've not even had your 1st bite. Lovely ambience and will be visiting again. 4 star because it was Sunday evening and the kitchen didn't have a large choice due to no stock of avocados, leg of lamb and a few other things.
