Lovely campsite, well maintained. Next to a train viaduct and the busy A7 but the traffic noise isn't intrusive. Showers and toilets were spotless if a little dated and the shower floors rather slippy. Lots of trees, some fruiting, abound and you can help your self to apples etc. Handy site for access to Edinburgh and surrounding areas and on both the train and bus route into the city.
Stayed solo a few years back in a wee tent and a rented Fiat 500. Loved the place, good folks, quiet nights and a lovely spot to wake up to. Easy access to the city as well as exploring the Borders. Hope to get back there someday.
Handy for Edinburgh, road noise 24 hrs non stop. Showers one temperature only, Boil. One resident constantly burning damp wood. Needless to say we shall not be returning.
A really lovely site, with friendly owners and a peaceful atmosphere. The heated shower block was luxury! Laundry facilities were handy and reasonably priced at £2.50 for wash and £2.50 for the dryer. There is road noise but I didn't notice it much and it definitely wasn't loud enough to be a great bother. A great site if you're looking to explore Edinburgh.
Absolutely beautiful spot not over crowded the facilities are immaculate, staff are accommodating, polite and welcoming. The site is also child friendly and dog friendly fabulous walk in the woods just over the road, great start to our trip around Scotland
Busy campsite, understandably as it's easy to get into Edinburgh from there. Only downside through no fault of the owners, is the constant noise from the "boy racers" racing up and down the A7.
Really enjoyable stay. Well run and maintained. Owners very friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you
Had a short stay here to try out our new caravan, we were made very welcome by friendly and attentive owners and staff. Toilet/shower block immaculate at all times. Site itself is well tended with plenty room between pitches. Excellent base for visiting Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Stayed for 2nts end of June 2021. Not many here. 1 other motorhome and a few caravans. Great location. Bus or train into Edinburgh. Great walks for dogs from site. Two Pubs serving food nearby. The sun inn across the road. A7 next to site and the railway runs over but very quiet night. Will definitely stop again.
Fab weekend, great wee caravan site, facilities clean and run by a lovely family.
