Very nice country pub with a couple of van stop over options nearby. Friendly, chatty staff. People running it have had it for 40 years. Nice selection of St Austell ales. Does get very busy so highly advisable to book even for drinks I booked to eat but ended up just drinking. Food looked good though. Nice ambience and lots of character. Highly recommended
The best pub I’ve ever been to. Great history behind the building and remains unchanged for 400 years. Great service and the food was top notch. Very good selection of local and international brands. The pub has 3 choices of seatings. In the bar area, in the family room which has a log fire place or in the beer garden which has a great view. I don’t think you would ever find a place like this, it’s a real hidden gem. It can get quite busy for dinner in the peak season so call and book a table to avoid disappointment.
Great choices especially special menu and Sunday roast. Tasty and very well presented food. A lot of local drinks as well. Best pub at the Land's end area. You shouldn't miss it.
Fantastic local pub. Busy on a rainy Tuesday evening in February, with a lovely atmosphere. Amazing choice of great quality food on an extensive menu and specials board. Portions were very generous and food delicious. Real fire added to a perfect visit. Worth booking a table if you want to eat. Throughly recommend
Cute little place to enjoy hot meals or a pint if you are near Lands end. Food was delicious and fresh, ambience was amazing. It can be really busy, usually booking is recommended, but we were lucky to get a table for an hour before heading to a show at Minack theater which is just 10 mins drive from here. Small parking space is available outside.
We visited twice. Both times it was really busy but the service was surprisingly quick, so thumbs up! The first time we had just standard pub food, bread selection with olives, hallumi cheese and 2 burgers. The second time we enjoyed a really good roast pork. Staff was very helpful. PS we love Rattler's cider!
An attractive very old pub with lots of character and a real fire. When we visited early December they had a Christmas craft fayre. I bought chutney and jewellery. The people were nice and the meal was excellent. We look forward to going back. This part of the world is beautiful.
Beautiful pub, fantastic welcome and great food! Everyone really friendly and they welcome dogs! Large outdoor seating front and back. Walls adorned with memorabilia. Definitely worth visiting when you’re in the area!
Absolutely lovely food. Beef Burger with fries and also dressed crab with salad and new potato's. Such hearty dishes and great portions. Fantastic pub, with great atmosphere and efficient and helpful staff. Thank you for 2 great meals.
Nice large pub with a decent amount of parking. expensive prices but good food. Cons: No instructions on how to order food and little staff. Greeting staff non existent and signs to order food at table so small, you can order food from the app from the table you sit at. Drinks were good and decently priced at roughly £5 a pint.
