I’m only giving this place one star as it currently appears to be closed. It’s not based on anything else. Perhaps I’ll try again if I’m visiting Penzance again.
Fantastic food, lovely staff, great conversation with locals.
A nice pub in Penzance although it does have a bit of a 'locals only' vibe about it. That being said the staff were all lovely. They have a pool table if that's something you look for in a pub, although beware it is in a bit of a cramped spot so you will need to pull out the miniature cue every now and then. It's dog friendly too!
Stunning location, you can imagine the days of old ships and pirates. No wonder they used this area to film Poldark. A lot of references to the programme and a lovely coffee shop there as well.
Friendly local with pool and chess. Landlord goes the extra mile to make folk welcome. Very clean hygienic public house.
Lovely pub. Go here. You are more than welcome as a local or visitor.
Very quaint pub, lovely atmosphere. Everyone friendly. Had a good meal, Homemade Burger was good. Partner had the Scallops which were fresh and delicious. Worth a visit if you're down in Penzance.
Stopped in, had a couple beers. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was inviting. Some unique antiques and photos hanging on the walls
Food is excellent and well presented.. Staff are friendly. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Wood burner and soft music from duke box.
Lovely friendly pub near the promenade. Made very welcome and left as friends. Good beer and lovely rolls on the bar. Definitely recommended.
