Purchased 2014 Peugeot 308, RJ14ZZY. Using lots of oil 3litres over 2000 miles. Wouldn't believe me. Carried out a test after 500 miles it used 1,5 litres of oil. Then wanted a large sum of money to exchange the vehicle after only 4 months. The company sold the vehicle on straight away knowing the issues. New car exchanged for Ford eco-sport. Allowed me too leave the forecourt with a flat tyre. Went back re sealed the tyre and said no damage. Tyre still losing pressure. His words " fix it yourself " taken to another garage, bulge on the sidewall of tyre had to be replaced. over all very poor after sales customer service & will definitely not recommend
Purchased a Peugeot 2008 2014. Heard knocking..Didnt really believe me..took it back 3 times..felt and sounded like wheel was going to fall off. Second time took it back and went to collect said it was all done and checked no problem...only to pull off forecourt it was banging again..so turned round and took it back.The last time the fella came with me on drive to prove it and yes admitted it wasn't right. Told to drive it home as no mechanic there that day to fix..so again had to take it back and leave it there!!! Told it was suspension mount put on wrong! Picked up and could still hear something but not as loud..Only to have it a week again and this time engine light come on...and be told " oh it won't be anything serious just carry on driving it and pop in, they will probs be able to fix while we there"... WE put it on computer to check..came up with 11 ecg intermittent faults!!! And can still hear this knocking...Left it on forecourt and got money back!
It’s a bit of a mixed bag is this review. On one hand, we can’t thank Steve enough. Brilliant to deal with, and they just want the customer to have a great experience. We had a slight issue on that day overheating, due to no coolant we bought the car and they went above and beyond what many companies would do. The measure of a company is how fast you respond and what you do to rectify something. Steve excelled in both. However even though we have a stamp for a service, I think that it wasn’t much of a service if it actually had one. I gave the car to a garage for an assessment - faults on the laptop, bolts missing from the turbo, air filter looks like it hasn’t been changed in about 5 years, new brake disks and pads needed, new manifold inlet gasket needed replacing, needs new spark plugs at £30 a pop. If we had a finance deal instead of a bank loan I would have handed the car back as a car that cost £11k shouldn’t need another £1400 spending on it 4 weeks down the line. I was told that the garage I went to was looking for work and that the car didn’t need the work doing.
No sales pressure, just honest chatting. Was actually encouraged to take our time on a test run... Think their words were similar to..... It's a lot of money to spend, so take your time and pick one you're completely happy with... What a refreshing change!! Would highly recommend this business to buy from. Not had any issues from the car purchased, but I get the impression if there was... They'd be honourable

We chose hope motor company as we'd heard really good reviews, everyone that had bought from this family company seemed very happy and mum had just moved into a care home opposite so thought it was a great place to search for a car, we certainly haven't been disappointed. This friendly family owned and run service has been excellent from the start, and the slight problem with the alloy wheels have been sorted as soon as I could drop it off, Sue even sorted me out one of their own cars to keep me on the road and visiting mum every day Huge thank you Steve, Sue, Chris and Nick I'd highly recommend their friendly, professional service to anyone you won't be disappointed
Steer clear. I had a verbal contract to buy a car at an agreed price subject to a test drive. I arrived for my prearranged test drive to find the car up on the ramp. The owner had driven it that morning and found the clutch to be slipping and was working on the clutch. The car would be ready in a few hours. I said I wished he'd rang me and let me know as I'd got my friend out of bed early after a night shift to bring me and they couldn't bring me back later, my tone was that of disappoint not 'having a go'. We agreed I would rerurn another day for the test drive, he wouldn't sell the car in the meantime and although he wouldn't take a cash deposit conditional on a satisfactory test drive we did literally shake hands on the deal. My friend said as we left the garage that the owners attitude was dreadful from the offset before I had even spoken and that he suspected they would try to renege on the sale due to the cost of the clutch repair. The owner rang me half an hour later on the phone number he'd denied having and told me that he wouldn't sell me the car because I had a bad vibe and no matter what they did I wouldn't be happy. I had bought two cars from there in the past with no problems, so not a valid argument. It seems they would prefer to disappoint and insult customers rather than honor an agreement because the car had cost him extra money.
Bought a first car for my son and can't speak highly enough of the service provided . The owner Steve gave good advice regarding make of car , engine size even down to the Insurance group . Have already recommended to freinds and family and will continue to do so.
Most bizarre used car sales retailer I have ever tried to deal with in over 25 years. Very poor return communication. Having shown very real interest in a vehicle and agreed upon a price the salesman was not able to succinctly answer a number of straightforward questions about the car via email: did the car have 4 matching tyres of reasonable condition, was it smoke and pet free, was the body/paint work in good condition, was there evidence of MOT advisory work having been done. Simple questions that warrant a simple yes/no answer and which I can then as a buyer decide to proceed with or decline the transaction. The salesman would not answer questions yes/no and instead suggested what I am looking for is a 'new dealership vehicle'. No, what I am looking for is a clean, used and well looked after vehicle which my previous 10 have been and which managed to have 4 matching tyres when I purchased them and have been from sellers willing to provide the requisite information from someone willing to part with a not inconsiderable sum of money. Honesty and integrity seemed to be sadly lacking in this particular case and with this particular salesman. Nevermind, there are plenty of other car dealerships out there who will perhaps be willing to offer a better, more honest service and accept people's hard earned money without feeling the need to be evasive about answering questions on a vehicle. Make sure you do your homework if buying here.
Great costumer care with no pressure. Attitude from the staff that dealt with me was probably the reason I left with one of there cars then after paying for the vehicle he wanted valeted for free. Thank you
