Idiot gateline staff often have all the gates set to EXIT at night meaning you cannot get to your train without pointing this out. This causes delays to passengers wishing to catch their train. WHY?
I use this station quite often when in London.nIt's always very busy , both inside & outside.nGood starting point for moving on to East London either on foot or by tube or bus.nToilets & shops under cover in the station concourse.
This is probably one of the best places to start your walk to see the london town if you start walking before dusk when lights get turned on. As soon as you exit the station you can see contrast of old buildings on one sode amd new ultra modern ones on otherside. Very nicely located station, was a bit dirty and needs a lot of cleaning in underground with a LOT of smell. However it is one of better ones in London.
A good station with links to many of underground lines and the national rail network. The main concourse area is quite nice with many of the usual suspect in fast food as well as a range of mud market cloths shops. The station hadn't beenb refurbished to the same extent as kings cross and Euston, so it doesn't look as nice. At the moment there's huge bushing works going on as part of the modernization, so the station looks worse than it actually is.nThis is also one busy station. Do your best to avoid on workdays and especially rush hour. Don't miss the statutes commerotating the WW2 efforts to save Jewish children fleeing Nazi Germany.
