A really nice quirky and interesting hotel. After a false start we were put in a room overlooking the square, which was lovely. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. The best breakfast we have had in a hotel for a very long time, good products freshly cooked. Will return.Rooms: 4/5
Hotel is very clean. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Validating the parking ticket for £15 per night is great. It's in a great location right close to city centre close to lots of great eateries and bars. Would recommend!Rooms: 5/5
Outstanding. Paid just over 1k for 2 adjoining mezzanine rooms for 4 nights each, so my family could spread out and get a good night's sleep in preparation for a major competition. Beds and pillows were the most comfortable we've ever experienced I looked up the supplier and they charge 2k per mattress and I'm not surprised. Room was spotless, quiet and air conditioned, and housekeeping was very efficient and respectful. Breakfast was a full English buffet with continental and some other options available. Front desk couldn't do enough to please. Location was great for accessing the town centre and restaurants by foot. Just be aware the recommended parking lot is 10 minutes walk away. Would definitely stay again.
I photographed a wedding at the Leopold Hotel this weekend, the staff were friendly and helpful. I watched as they helped guests, nothing was too much for them. I waited in the lobby area, drinking my coffee. The lobby had beautiful light and architecture, as did the corridor leading to the rooms. I shot my bridal portraits here. They looked stunning with the backdrop of a wall of windows. Nearby activities: Very close to town and amenties.
The best hotel I've ever stayed in. Came for a week with work and was fantastic from start to finish. Warm welcome when you come in, rooms are amazing and clean and just a great hotel close to Leopold square so you can go for food and it's literally a 2 min walk to the likes of zizzi, wagamma and then orchard square across the road. 5 star luxury. Thanks to all the team who have made my stay fab
Stayed here on account of business. Lovely place with lovely rooms but the booking was botched and I almost walked in on another guest. The courtyard comprised of a handful of restaurants was quite nice.Rooms: 5/5
Very disappointed stayed here for 2 days at a very high daily rate!! - ran out of stuff saying waiting for suppliers- crisps and nuts at the bar, juice at breakfast - very slow service I had finished my full English before I got my tea and toast and was told we only have 1 person doing them - my room 101 was next to the dining room and the racket woke me up!! Lifts out of order, toilets out of order, room very small and the hotel was very tired and in need of refurbishment I would say the hotel is struggling for cash! Thing not being mended, lack of supplies, lack of staff! Won’t be going back Noteworthy details: Lack of staff, and supplies and stuff broke down
I come here fairly regularly for business meetings with my fellow managers. It is a restful place, the staff are really nice & the rooms are spot on. Formerly a boys school & there are many b&w photographic reminders of its history which does add to its appeal. It is situated close to a number of restaurants and pubs too - if you like that sort of thing as much as I do
I like this hotel when I stay in Sheffield. Really central and the rooms are quirky. On this occasion I felt a bit let down. The hot water thermostat over the bath/shower wasn’t working properly so I had like warm water. As the snooker was on at the Crucible the room price surged to over double the normal rate that I pay. It was well over £200 for the room without breakfast and with parking. I felt ripped off. A shame as it’s a nice place.
I’ve stayed in many hotels in Sheffield. The Leopold is quiet, calm and staff excellent. The room we had was excellent and with fridge, tea, coffee, safe etc. probably the best hotel in Sheffield.Rooms: 5/5
