Absolutely amazing company with brilliant staff. I made a pretty strange request to replace the neck on my guitar and create some custom inlays that had a mixture of my dogs ashes in them as a tribute to the amazing pooch and so I can still pet him whenever I play guitar! Danny and Nat were great, really sensitive and put so much effort into completing what was probably a pretty difficult project. More impressively I was fully prepared for it to look a bit "odd" cosmetically let's face it dogs ashes aren't exactly aesthetically pleasing, but it looks fantastic! The quality of the work is impeccable and it was completed to an even higher standard than the original fender neck! Thanks Danny and Nat- means a lot.
Had Leicestershire Luthiers set up my guitar for the first time today. Lovely bunch of people and excellent Service, can only assume they utilise some sort of magic, as my guitar has never played so well. Recommended, and would use again
Just picked my guitar up from Leicestershire luthiers and they've done an amazing job. My guitar is like I imagine it was when new. Highly skilled and genuine lovely people. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you both, you're fantastic.
Absolutely incredible job bringing a slightly tired Ibanez back up to scratch. Easily the best work I've ever had done to a guitar, amazing attention to detail and it's now better than new - a worn in guitar that feels new. I won't hesitate to bring other guitars back and I would implore anyone, not just locals, to consider Leicestershire Luthiers.
Took my Taylor acoustic 314CE in for a set up and re shimming , it plays so much better, sounds great and looks great again. Thanks so much I wish I'd dome this 5 years ago !
Really happy with the friendly service & quality of worksmanship of Leicestershire Luthiers. Had a fairly new Dean Jackie Vincent guitar that I wanted setting up to my liking. Within a few days of dropping it off they had it finished. Looking forward to putting some time into playing now.
I looked for a long time before taking the plunge and looking for a Luthier, and had a Mandolin that I simply couldn't play and a steel string Uke with cheese wire strings and a woefully high set up. I'm so glad that I found a place that does everything it says on the tin so to speak. The whole experience was just great. Friendly and easy, they quickly understood my problems with my girls and presented me with two instruments that are so easy for me to play, I rarely put one or the other down. Absolutely top banana. Highly recommend. Thanks guys.
Can't recommend these guys highly enough. Lovely people, really easy to work with. I took in two acoustics that I've owned for five and ten years respectively, and they came out a few days later playing better than they ever have. Couldn't be happier :
I brought my brand new Squier Jazz bass in to deal with buzz, nut and intonation issues that were causing me huge problems in terms of satisfactory playing. Natalie and Danny have completely changed the tone and intonation of my bass and it is now a real pleasure to play! I could not be happier. Please avoid chain guitar shops who promise to set-up your bass before sending it out, and instead support your local luthier. They have a waiting list but it is truly worth the wait as they sorted my bass out in just 4-days. A real pleasure to deal with.
Danny and the team did a great job on restoring/repairing the neck on my Albert Lee my Albert lee music man guitar , I am so over the moon it is like brand new again and looks as beautiful as the day I bought it over 20 years ago. Re fret is super high quality and set up feels great. Danny was a pleasure to deal with and kept me updated throughout the work. He even picked up and dropped the guitar back to me in person in Portsmouth. Leicestershire Luthiers are professionals with a high degree of skill and workmanship. Highly recommended.
