I chose my dress yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier! Dina was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, making me feel completely at ease. I’m looking forward to my next fitting and the upcoming appointments. Dina offered many creative ways to personalize the dress to my specifications. While they may not have all the dresses from the website in-store, I was able to try on a good variety. Since the dresses are made to measure and customizable, I felt confident I could make it exactly how I want. My only minor comment is a glass of fizz wouldn’t have gone amiss!
I had a wonderful experience buying my wedding dress here. I’d read the rather mixed reviews but the dress I had chosen was everything I wanted in a wedding dress and I just had to give it a go. I was not disappointed! Despite only recently opening after Covid, my daughter and I were made to feel very welcome at the London shop. I was at first disappointed that the dress I chose wasn’t the exact same colour at shown on the website, it was much more pink than beige, so I initially decided to try on others in a similar colour to the beige but being the older bride I felt they weren’t suitable. The lovely lady who helped me insisted I try on the ivory in the original choice of dress and I immediately fell in love! From that moment everything just fell into place and I really could not have wished for any more… well maybe some Prosecco but since we were still wearing masks due to Covid I did understand. The dress itself is absolutely stunning! Beautifully made to measure and needed very little altering when I had it fitted on my 2nd visit. The dressmaker was so professional as well as being open to my ideas on how I wanted it to look. She literally could not do enough to make it perfect for me! I would absolutely and very highly recommend this company. Worth every penny spent!
Unpleasant appointment. I have been visited the boutique for my wedding dress shopping and sadly, when I arrived, I realised that the stock was not even close or enough as the one I saw on the website! When I arrived, I started explained what I am looking for and from my choices there were only 2 dresses to try -not enough stock as I said- until I then like one of the dresses and been told that it was not possible to take pictures. Now, my disappointment at that moment because never been communicated with me and then, the person in the shop, was taking off the dress so quickly and the appointment in total last 15 minutes! It was stressing me out as it should be a nice experience going to try dresses and I was wasting my time! People travelling from different part of London and so far did not had such a negative experience like this in any of the other boutiques! Avoid please! I should had read comments before going in!
Ok, to be fair I too was taken aback by service during my first visit and yes you cannot touch dresses until you wipe your hands but these dresses are so beautiful - there was no way I could walk away. I chose a silk dress which was simple, elegant, made with great care and perfect in every way. I hope to pass it down one day because this dress deserves to be worn again!
The dresses at Le Spose are hard to beat, so elegant and timeless, the material is so beautiful, they are made with such attention to detail and they are so light and comfortable to wear. The shop is a calm and welcoming place to choose a dress. Ilaria and Dina were so helpful throughout. I was deciding between two different dress combinations, not quite sure about either, when Ilaria phoned me to say she'd had a dress brought in and she thought it would suit me. As soon as I put it on I knew it was the one. If it hadn't been for Ilaria's thoughtfulness I would not have found the dress. They were always prepared to go the extra mile with all the little details. We also bought the mother-of-the-bride outfit here and a dress for my flower girl. All completely perfect.
BEFORE READING: PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE! Sadly, I can't suggest this store to brides shopping for their dress because the entire experience was challenging and one of the women I interacted with on numerous times was rude and abrupt. Whenever something goes wrong, they merely argue their position without accepting responsibility. I bought a bespoke dress, but one component was wrongly ordered, so I had to make up with what I didn't want. The dress was cut way too closely to the flesh behind my armpit, giving the impression that it did not fit well, was uncomfortable, and did not hang properly over the shoulder. - One of the straps was unevenly loose on one side, which made it appear bad in rear views, and I had to keep pulling it up. I was uncomfortable wearing it because I thought it would fall apart. - Make sure you receive everything in writing or via email before they purchase it from Milan; I didn't. So I definetly dont recommend it! There are so many better bridal shops! My experience here almost ruined my whole wedding! PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE
There is too much to list but in summary, you try on these beautiful dresses and the tailor fits them to you perfectly however they are very strict on not Allowing you to take any photos so your memory of the dress is from the photo you are provided with and the memory of how you felt in the dress. I ordered the dress on this basis and if the dress had looked exactly how it should have, I would have loved it! However the dress arrived and looked completely different!!! I cried so much because I didn’t have enough time to order a new dress before the wedding. The dress was supposed to be loose / draped material but it looked like I’d been wrapped in bandages. The tailor said she would try fix the dress but there wasn’t enough material to let out as they had cut it all wrong. I hated the dress so with only 1 month before the wedding had to find an alternative! Please be careful ordering from here! The fit is good but the dress may not look like what you have ordered!!! Have told all of my friends to avoid so they don’t end up in the nightmare I had!
Unfortunately I'm unable to recommend this shop to brides looking for their dress, the entire process was difficult and one of the ladies I dealt with on several occasions was unpleasant and abrupt. If something goes wrong there is no accountability taken just arguing from their side. I did not feel comfortable wearing it fearing something was going to come apart. - Make sure you get everything written down/ emailed to you before they order it from Milan as I didn't get any such thing. - They also tried to charge me extra for alterations even though it's meant to be included in the price. She made out the alterations were above what they would normally do - fair, but be transparent from the outset that this is the case, rather than trying to be opportunistic. And make sure your alterations are actually good if you are trying to charge extra for this! It's not obvious when you first research the boutique online that others have had issues but afterwards I started to see many similar reviews posted on yelp etc. It's a pity as the fabrics are beautiful but I would say it is poorly executed from this boutique particularly if you need alterations.
All the dresses at Le Spose di Gio are stunning and I just knew I would find my dream dress as soon as I stepped in the shop! The dresses are so elegant and I felt amazing and comfortable. My fittings were hassle free and the ladies are lovely and welcoming. It's understandable to be told not to touch the dresses, brides would obviously want to try on the dresses in a clean and good condition!
Going to Spose de Gio was so much fun. I was well taken care of and got to try on so many amazing dresses. In the end I bought my wedding dress somewhere else, but spose di gio was a very close second. The only thing I found lacking is a bit more product/design expertise that other bridal shops pride themselves on
