Dear Guest,

Since opening in 2012, Le Chinois Restaurant and Bar has offered guests an exquisite and unique dining experience, with sophisticated and contemporary culinary creations. The restaurant showcases Cantonese lifestyle and art, and celebrates the traditional flavors of the East.

Just a few months after the restaurant was opened, Le Chinois was awarded prestigious AA Rosettes Head Chef, Anthony Kong and his team are working hard to gain further recognition and accolades for their skills and culinary excellence.

Fitting with the Asian culture, our à la carte menu is designed with sharing in mind. We suggest that you share dishes amongst your friends and companions, and embrace this custom as well.
Le Chinois Restaurant and Bar offers the ideal venue for a private event or celebration. Choose the semi-private dining area, which allows you to enjoy the atmosphere of the main dining room whilst tucked away behind light curtains, or one of the private rooms, which can seat up to 12 people and offers the flexibility to be combined into a larger private dining room for 22 diners. Please speak to a member of the team for more information.

Lovely combo of dim sum and a selection of Chinese dishes in the Christmas Day menu albeit higher price £60/pax, min. 2 pax and slower service. Nice dining ambience, with the natural light piercing through the glass roof.
This is not a 4 star hotel. The room that we had initially was a disgrace. No telephone to call reception tiny space and very tired furnature and decoration So we got moved to another room. Bigger room but not much improvement. The windows were dirty, the space between the door and the wall covered in old fluff. Bathroom tap not cleaned. The kettle had to be balanced on some old cabinet flap. A health and safety nightmare. But worst of all some of the staff were rude and discourteous, especially the cleaning staff. In reception the only staff member on the desk was clearly not coping and started shouting at the guests. Its a grim place best to be avoided.
Cosy chinese restaurant. Well presented food, cooked well and with good portions. Went as part of a Groupon deal, good selection although supplement costs for rib eye and some other dishes. Would come again
Dim sum afternoon tea sounds interesting and different from other traditional afternoon tea but actually nothing special. Dim sum was average and certainly way overpriced, it's all about the gimmicks I guess. Would never pay £25 for this ever...
Service is good and possibly one of the best Chinese restaurants in Kensington. The Sichuan style chicken is really good, very flavoured. As a Chinese, I would say it’s a quite authentic Chinese restaurant.
Booked for 4 people and was made to feel from the start that we were in a Groupon deal and service was extremely poor and the portions tiny..food average...Never again..I have been to some very good restaurants through Groupon in the past..complained to Groupon and got part refund
I have been to lunch a couple of times with my husband. The food was really good. The squid starter stole the show, we could have that back to back and not get tired! it is so flavoursome! The beef in black bean sauce was also really good. the ice cream dessert was really good. I also once had the Chinese dessert, can't remember the name, maybe bubble tea and it was amazing. When we visited subsequent times, they never had it which was disappointing! It is not cheap though but we got it on a deal which I felt was really good!
We had the dim sum afternoon tea which came with a set menu and two glasses of prosecco along with tea of course. Service was great. The staff were very professional and friendly. Very informative and explained the dishes when it came out. The food came out so beautifully presented. Definitely Instagram worthy. Restaurant had a lot of natural lighting from the glass rooftop.
I don't like to write negative reviews, but I'm really disappointed by the quality of the food. Never again. I ordered stir fried prawns with cashew nuts as a main course . It was tasteless and looks nothing like anything I tried before in other restaurants. Portion wise, for one person you'll need two orders. Rice dishes, I ordered vegetarian egg fried rice. Really disappointed because this recipe is basic and any Chinese restaurant must master it. It was less than average. Rice, eggs, frozen veggies!!! Tasteless.... And I also ordered Belacan fried rice. Not bad compared to the other two.
Unfortunately was gifted a Groupon voucher for this restaurant by friends. Felt more like a punishment. Pitiful food, awful service, warm wine. Witnessed an argument between two staff and then was shouted at by the manager when we complained about the 25% tip. Horrendous experience. Feel like I should be compensated for my time.
