I would give more stars if I could to Bibendum. As the first stop on my partner and i’s Michelin food tour, they really set the standard that has been honestly unmatched so far. Every dish was so incredible and a complete amalgamation of technique, creativity, fresh produce and deliciousness. From the minute you walk in the door, the staff go above and beyond to take care of you and it really felt like a personally catered experience. Even the complimentary little starter as you arrive was simply divine, showing an attention to detail and a true passion and love for food and the dining experience. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone whether you’re a foodie or not. 20/10
I recently visited the oyster bar for lunch and, unfortunately, my experience was not very pleasant. While the food quality was acceptable given the price, it did not stand out. I wasn’t expecting much in terms of the food, so this was not a major issue for me. However, the most disappointing aspect was the quality of service. Although two of the staff members were friendly, one of the female staff who served our food was quite rude. She merely placed the dishes on the table without mentioning what they were or providing a simple introduction. There was no consideration for what the customers might need. Considering the restaurant charges a 15% service charge, I felt that the level of service provided was far below what one would expect. I did not feel that I received any good quality service during my visit. Overall, my experience was underwhelming and I hope they can improve their service in the future.
My partner and I enjoyed the experience at the restaurant Claude Bosi but shortly after leaving the establishment both of us had very bad FOOD POISONING. The meal was the common dominator as we both ate in different places previous few days and must be the meal we had at the restaurant. We ordered the tasting menu and wine and expected the meal to be perfect for a Michelin star restaurant. The experience and service was good but shortly on our way back home we both started being unwell. Food alert was contracted by Claude Bosi for investigation but because we didn’t take sample, and the other “diner” was ok, our case was quickly dismissed My partner didn’t even have the time and chance to return the investigation form, and the case was closed. Note that because it was the England football game they only had 3 or 4 tables that night. The reason provided just didnt make sense and Claude Bosi DID NOT even CARE and just push it to their own investigator.
Disappointing, especially the service. Drinks arrived late, after I had finished the main course. The manager, Jerome, said this was because we ordered drinks late, which was not true. 3 waiters asked for our drinks order and then told us there was a glitch in their system. Even so, not good enough. Won’t be returning. Fish and chips is mediocre. Chopped salad is okay. Nothing special for the price. Wouldn’t recommend , much better options in local area.
Ambience ruined by a three year old in a high chair either screeching out, laughing very loudly , saying words loudly or throwing napkins on the floor. Staff was very accommodating to the child but there should have a no very young child policy as this type of dining is not suited for that age. Located in what used to be a car garage the four. Level is converted into a brassiere and oyster bar and top a two michelin star restaurant. Lovely interior of Blue carpet, circular tables with white hugging table cloths. The kitchen is visible via the automatic sliding door and windows but not as visible as some other Michelin star restaurants. Beautiful light well with a dried flower arrangement, felt like summer. There is a map of Bordeaux on the far end of the glass and Two stain glass panels of the Michelin man. Three menus On offer : taste of the season at £215, lunch 3 course menu at £145 and market menu for £75 which I told had to be pre booked. Wine pairing is £189 for 6 wines Or exceptional for £495 If you are planning to go for the market menu, best to call ahead and ask as I was refused it as they said they had run out and also it’s a sunrise menu and therefore you get what you’re given and the left over cuts from the other dishes to reduce waste. The first amouse bouche was the Miso Foam with rice crispy and rice a Ice cream. Combination of cold: Rice ice cream and hot :Miso foam Beautifully subtle and delicious dish as made rice ice cream taste amazing Second amouse was cheese with nuts and veg base with egg yolk. The Sourness of the dish was excessive with cheese crumbs at the top served in an 3/4 egg shell. The Bread and butter : standards sour dough with butter, love butter dish was it a Michelin man The first course of Scallop dish was beautiful, it looked like a sea of yellow roe with droplets of yellow and red with three raw scallops wjth a scallop cracker which was very light and not overpowering some other seafood crackers. Very interesting- never had raw scallops and tasted fresh but neutral unlike grilled scallops. The mains of John Dory was beautiful, brushed with a black paste, it was fairly lightly cooked as the inside was The Green Ragu easily very fresh sweet green - kohlrabi and courgette. The asparagus brûlée was nice with small pieces small asparagus, good dish as a whole. Palate cleanser was lemon sorbet with dill stands. Interesting dish to say the least as the dill strands were frozen and the lemon tasted similar verbena lemon. The rhubarb desert was somewhat disappointing as the cake was rather blend, the rhubarb syrup was more sour then sweet with pieces of sour rhubarb did not Lift the dish nor did the ice cream which was sweet but tart. The beignet was soggy, the cream inside was too sweet and again disappointing. Service excellent provided Italian lady and I think her name is Genevieve. Unfortunately at the end, I was charged the dinner three course rather than the lunch so do check your bills as mistakes do happen!
We had two tables of 6 each making very difficult for the staff to serve however Lorenzo and the team did a spectacular job as usual. Our guest from Australia and France said it was the best meal of their lives. The whole experience was super special Over the years I have brought a lot of guest to Claude Bosi and everyone enjoyed the experience and walked away with special memories of the staff and the food Thank you team Claude Bosi
The venue is so lovely, we had dinner on the patio and really enjoyed the atmosphere. I obviously recommend trying the oysters, as many as possible on the menuFood: 5/5
Visited the Oyster Bar for dinner. Has a unique atmosphere. You can see signs of Michelin everywhere. My favorites were king prawn burger, pierre koffmann sweet potato fries and negroni.Food: 5/5
It should be Mechlin 3 star. The chef us very dedicated in making the dishes perfect for each individual customer. His team is very professional in meeting the expectations of each customer. For the dessert with ruhubar, it had a good balance of sweet and sour. I would come back to enjoy again.Food: 5/5
We ate in Ground Floor Oyster Bar to celebrate our daughter's engagement. Lovely restaurant space. Light and airy with plenty of space between the tables. Service was immaculate. Food was excellent. Mainly seafood but other options available. Recommend.Food: 5/5
