Food was absolutely fantastic, especially the Quadzilla burger. One from the menu that you must try, but be warned, it's massive. Sweet potatoes fries is another absolutely must try, if you want something different from the ordinary. Monsoon Kiss mocktails is another favourite which is just refreshing. Lawnswood Arms is one of our favourite place to grab a burger, nachos and grill. Parking: Plenty Kid-friendliness: There's a kids open playground and also party room and games
Tried the breakfast and a lunch meal over 2 different visits, bot the best or the worst but food quality is not what I expected bacon sausage taste cheap. Had nachos not even proper cheese on them main meals not to bad don't bother with the breakfast though. Staff were friendly I thought it was quite cold on both visits, plenty of car parking and there is a wacky warehouse for kids. A lot of seats are damaged think they need a makeover as looks old a d dated, the tvs look decent though big projector in main bar.
It's a lovely place. I love the fact that they have an indoor playground for kids. The food is good and the price is low. It is definitely a place to go regularly. It is so spacious, and I heard that it is going to be refurbished in autumn. The kids pass is £14 a month, and it's a bargain. Every Tuesday they have activities as well. Emma is very friendly and invested in this place. Music is good, too. I definitely recommend it. Vegetarian options: They have a diverse menu Parking: Lots of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Went here for breakfast with my family, food was sub-standard quality, over cooked & dry. Service was fine, nothing above & beyond. Whole place needs a refurb, smashed glass, torn seating & damaged floor everywhere. Children's play area was dark, dingy & dirty with the same worn out attire. Doesn't look like the jungle gym has ever been cleaned. Toilets were bad, really dirty & smell awful. Come on Lawnswood you need to get the basics right! Parking: Plenty of easily accessible parking.
Came for a couple drinks then decided to order their new Korean Burger advertised on their menu, which looked appealing but was made nothing like the photo, barely any of the sauce which is supposed to be marinated all over the chicken, no sesame seeds. Absolutely nothing like the photo. My taste buds were so let down.Food: 1/5
Food here is basic. The menu has loads of options which might be part of the problem, food might be better quality if the menu was simplified. Worse roast potatoes I've ever had, I couldn't eat them. The veg was cooked from frozen and was overcooked. The nut roast and rest of the dinner was fine and I enjoyed that part. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the indoor soft play is great for the kids. It is a shame the food is poor, we paid £14.99 for two nut roast Sunday dinners £8.40 for one but on offer if you buy two which we thought was good value but the food was a let down. Update: I've seen the reply below - we will probably be back because of the soft play and the friendly service so hopefully the food is better next time.
Visited Lawnswood Arms this evening. It’s been a few years since we dined here but we visit regularly for the whackware house. The food was lovely. Cheap, quick, easy pub food. We just decided with the time of day it was it was more practical to eat out instead of cooking. Staff helpfully, clean, bright atmosphere. I was a bit disappointed I couldn’t mix and match a few things on the menu, I was even willing to pay extra but said they couldn’t do it, oh well. We dined at one of the tables with the television on the end which displays children’s programmes to keep them occupied. I had the 8oz rump steak sizzler on a bed of peppers and onions with sweet potato fries and onion rings. Oh and an added crispy chicken skewer for £2 extra. My partner had a beef in a Yorkshire pudding wrap which looked amazing and very tasty, I can’t remember it’s exactly menu name. My son had sausage, chips and beans, and for £2 extra he got a drink and a pudding.
No draft beer so had to buy a bottle of beer that was tiny at £5. The Fanta glass was dirty as you can see in the pics. When I took it to the bar, only an apology was offered, I didn't want a refill as we were leaving. Kids enjoyed the park however it was basic with no slide. On the plus side the young lad that served us was friendly and apologetic
Visited in a quiet period and was served pretty quickly. Food came put fast, decent sized portions and tasty grub. Also, visited on a Tuesday, so the dish I wanted was only £8, instead of £11.49! Will definitely be visiting again
Good pub food, realistically priced. Hard to fault. I had a great steak and ale pie, my veggie mate enjoyed the no meat feast burger. Though I had the better thick cut chips!Food: 5/5
