Lovely nature walk around the grounds! Perfect for dog walking (pick up your droppings please!). Perfect for allowing wee ones to let off some steam! Buggy accessible but can get a bit muddy! So wellies are a must and good pushing skills if you have a buggy. Benches are available for a sit and even a picnic. The actual castle is more of an estate house and they run daily tours and weekly events for adults and children (wreath making at Xmas, in the life events with costumes, art making...) Usually found on Eventbrite.

The Jurassic kingdom event was overpriced for what it was, plus a long muddy walk which resulted in an extra load of washing...the children had fun but the castle wasn't included in the event so to me it felt unfair and wouldn't recommend it nor go again. The castle's cafe' is very small but fairly priced, had a better space in warmer climates for sure thanks to the outside tables and chairs. I am sure the castle itself is lovely but haven't been able to see it yet.

A walk around the grounds is lovely and it's well kept. Watching the croquet is always fun and the views to Fife are breathe taking. Bee keeping on the North side which is interesting. No entrance fee usually, but currently (April 2018) the mechanical dinosaur exhibition is on which carries a £10 charge.

currently, the place is hosting Jurassic Kingdom (Dinosaurs). It ends tomorrow. There will be different events in summer. The dinosaurs movement is good but they don’t walk. They close their eyes and move their hands, head and tail. Some of spots are extremely muddy. The shops there are expensive, for example, Bottle of water costs £2.

The Castle and grounds themselves are beautiful, with stunning views over Cramond island and the Forth to Fife beyond. We went to the Dinosaur exhibit which was a bit of a flop, but the park itself is great.
