Beautiful park with a view on the bay. Interesting Japanese garden. Lots of benches, there is a place to rest and relax. Many squirrels around. There is a parking for visitors, about 20 parking lots. Place for BBQ is available
Lovely park/walking grounds used a lot by locals. My personal favourite is the Japanese garden.nEntrance to the house during limited hours and ticketed, needs to be purchased via Edinburgh museums website.nParking is free, but limited during busier hours.nMimi's cafe on the premises is open during the day.nPublic toilets free of charge
What a magical place! A place for young and old, for those who enjoy the calm and peaceful life on a weekend. There is a small coffee as well - highly recommended. Parking space is available at the beginnging. Also a good possibility to take a walk with the dog through the gardens and a long the sea.
Fantastic place for a quiet walk, and they allow dogs. The grounds are lovely and well looked after and the highlight for me was the Japanese garden—a serene and picturesque spot that’s perfect for relaxing. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a scenic, quiet walk!
Beautiful castle and surrounding gardens .. didn’t get a chance to see the inside as their tours were fully booked.. nonetheless, we enjoyed a scenic view with our picnic and had aromatic coffee from Mimi’s bakehouse cafe on the premises
