The museum has the details of three legendary Scottish writers - Robert Burns, William Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson. There's a room dedicated to each of the three. There are a few artifacts that the writers used in their lifetime with their portraits amd photographs. The write-ups on their life and times are informative but one dimensional only. Coupled with the literary pub tour, we got to know the other sides of these writers too. Together, these provided an amazing insight into each of their personalities.

A hidden Gem sort of a museum in the heart of Edinburgh. This museum comprises lots of information and collectibles of famous authors in Scotland. As soon as you enter thorough the main entrance you can straight go down or go up. I would recommend go down and then go up. If you love Scottish authors especially Robert Louis Stevenson, this is a must go place. It is only 10 minutes from the Waverly Train Station. Thanks.

A treasure tucked away off the main street leading up to the castle. It houses displays on notable Scottish authors in a charming little house. Plus it has a delightful gift shop to get souvenirs for all your book-loving friends. Definitely worth a visit.

Great details about the famous writers in a "close" rich with history. It's free like many cute museums here. Very well organized. Easy to reach.

Free museum with exhibitions on three Scottish writers: Walter Scott, Robert Louis Stevenson and Robert Burns. There's a few rooms dedicated to each of them, with objects related to them and some information about their lives and careers. There's also an old printing press on the top floor, with some kind of mechanical show which was not working when I was there. It is located in a beautiful old house with a lot of history.
