Went May bank holiday 2018 with two young kids. I think best description is "it's OK". Perhaps a place for adults to reminisce rather than somewhere to entertain young children. There were a few toys in some of the galleries but missing pieces let things down a little. Shame.

Well worth a visit. Free to enter and enjoy. Not a very large building so you can go round it in an hour but still some nice things to stir your memories of your own childhood perhaps. Only a 10 minute walk from the large "traditional" museum in Chambers Street.

This is an awesome museum. They tell stories about kids in past and their education, toys, clothes and many of interesting things. Or is about 5 floors and in each floor there is a number of sections represent one thing such as toys. The museum offer old clothes for visitors to try them out. Additionally, there is a gifts shop.

This place is truly amazing for children and adults alike. Five floors full of toys and games from all periods of history. Every exhibit is lovingly displayed and evokes memories of your childhood. Some of these toys will probably never be seen anywhere else and it is amazing how they have amassed such a collection. I lived it here.

What a wonderful place to visit, whilst visiting this beautiful city. This museum has a lot to offer, and it does not take long to view the exhibits. So this will not delay your visit to other points of interest in Edinburgh. This museum will bring your childhood memories to life. Enjoy
