Free entry. Ideal place for family events or just a casual visit. They have a part (first level if my memory is correct) where you can race cars and control robot, quite cool.

A small museum, it's alright. Worth popping into if you were passing, I'd say but I wouldn't plan a day around it. You won't need any longer than an hour here and I'd give the shop a miss entirely.

This was a nice little surprise in Edinburgh 😀 We visited the Museum of Edinburgh on our last day before leaving the city. When entering the mesueum it looks really small but fortunately there is more then one floor 😉 I really enjoyed the visit. It was very interesting to learn a little bit about the city and the history. I would definitely recommend to visit the museum. There is no entrance fee.

Excellent museum, lots to see and lots of hands on exhibits. Great for kids and many wow moments for us adults too! Plenty of toilets and a cafe as well.

This museum wasn’t high on my list to visit, but I had time to spare before dinner, I decided to check it out. And why not – entry was free (I wish more American museums offered free entry). The highlight of the museum is an original copy of the National Covenant of 1638. . Another highlight was James Craig’s original plans of the New Town. It’s interesting to see the original plans, knowing how the city has developed since then. There were a few other tidbits, but again this museum didn’t really tickle my fancy. However, I recommend a visit simply because you’ll learn something new, and you can’t beat the price of entry.
