Truly excellent ! Friendly, fast service. The chips were so good. My wife usually doesn't eat all hers... This time they weren't going to be shared with me. Both the halibut and cod were very good. So flaky and light! Big thumbs up!
Ordered the halibut fish and chips which cost 21 pounds. Comes with a big portion of fries. Taste of the halibut was okay. Restaurant has plenty of seats and service was fast. Do note that the price excludes service charge and the service charge is subjected to your own discretion tipping.
Fantastic. High quality fish, fresh, hot and crispy. Very friendly and quick service and generous portions. This place is in a touristy area so they could get away with serving anything, but they keep it honest and simple and serve a quality product they can be proud of. Definitely add the mushy peas and curry sauce when you go!
Pretty good for a stop in fish and chips. Service was to the point and friendly. Fish and chips are what I would expect from a quick service place like this in London. It was very busy when we first came in but then it cleared out as we were eating, so I think they must have a pretty strong lunch rush. The only downside for me was that the tartar sauce came in small packets and I think I had to use like 6 of them. Wish it came in a bottle or something instead!
Lovely traditional fish and chips. The halibut is AMAZING. Thick fish, perfectly fried. The fat chips were delicious too. Another dish vegetarian Jamaican patty was delicious too the waiter was very attentive and helpful too.
Its been over a decade since I last dined here. Now I'm back in the locale and dined in for lunch today. It was busy but I easily found a free table for 4. Service was swift and very friendly. Food was hot and delivered quickly. Possibly the best chips ever...! Delicious Vegetarian options: Good options for vegetarians. Dietary restrictions: Large Food Allergy Notices in RED...! Parking: Not advised to travel by car... Traffic Wardens in large numbers due to central London location. Kid-friendliness: Loads of families dining in. Children's menu available. Wheelchair accessibility: Good access.
Best fish and chips shop I’ve been to. Service was phenomenal and the chef was very engaging, polite, and funny. Halibut was amazing, as was the gravy. Would recommend coming here absolutely, will be returning. Thanks guys! Glad to be your 2000th reviewer.Food: 5/5

Prime location from where we stayed. The staff was beyond accommodating despite having young children in tow. Even scrambled eggs for my youngest though not normal. Would certainly recommend!Food: 5/5
7/25/24: Decent fish and chips on hole in the wall setting but not at a hole in the wall price. For the price, you might as well go to a nicer place down the street like Old Queen Street Cafe which also has fish and chips.
