This is a such landmark pub on the Victoria Avenue which did not get bombed down during the WWII! The building itself is very welcoming and inviting! When you walked by it, just draw you in! We walked by a few times and decided to coming tonight and we are so glad we did! The first beer the bartender poured for me, when I touch the glass, the glass is warm, maybe that beer mug is just out of the dish washing machine! She immediately use another mug to pour me another beer! The fish and chips also is the best so far as we been stayed in London for a week now! The fish is fluffy and crispy, the chips are Crispy in the soft side! Both are perfectly seasoned! We will love to come back again for another drink in this pub soon! Parking: Parking is unavailable
Such cool history behind this place! Came here after a long day of sightseeing and had a great meal. Delicious fish and chips and mac and cheese. The atmosphere was amazing, I really enjoyed all the history they had present throughout the establishment. If you are in the area I highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Service was a bit slow but a rustic, historic scene. Potted Devon Crab - not what we expected. The crab was presented similar to canned tuna. Fish and chips - better of the two dishes and some of the lightest fish fillets we've tasted. Hake & Romesco Ragout - just okay. The Ragout made the dish better.
This is a wonderful pub. Good was wonderful and service was great. Felt bad that I couldn't eat my dessert as I was so full, and our server felt so bad that they didn't have to go options. Good selection of items and drinks.Food: 5/5
What a cool place! We had the Vintage Mac and cheese and it was outstanding. Great cocktails and nice pint of beer. We say upstairs and the bartender was so friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend checking out this historic pub.Food: 5/5
Excellent service from Lili. We talked a little with her, she is a very nice person. As for food, I loved the Fish and Chips. Definitely for my next visit to London I will go to The Albert.Food: 5/5
Love this traditional London town pub. Good food at reasonable prices. Great selection of beers even if a little bit pricey, but sort of what you exspect for the middle of London. Absolutely gorgeous decor and interior with great staff. Love to pop in whenever I'm working from the office in London after a day at the desk.Food: 4/5
The Albert is a well-known pub in central London. It’s a great spot to watch a match with big TVs. Good selection of beers and a few ciders. I ordered the Steak and Ale pie with cabbage and mash and gravy which was great and quite British. When in London…The fish and chips also looked good. There are plenty of tables both up and downstairs.
This is my first and only Fish and Chips experience in London. I really liked it. The bar is packed when I got in, so had to maneuver and wait for a bit for a table. But the drinks and the fish and chips are great! I loved how crispy my fish is, and the chips are very tasty as well. Lots of people here seem just to hangout after work, so very nice. Overall highly recommend this place.
Ordered the prime rib and yorkshire, but the prime rib was way overcooked. My wife had a burger, and it was a hit. The dessert, a sticky toffee pudding, took over 45 minutes to arrive after we finished the meal, so it was taken off the bill.Food: 3/5
