St. Stephen's Tavern: Pie-fection! Despite the NFL presence on top of tourist, I snagged a great table and was welcomed by friendly staff. I ordered the Steak & Tangle Foot pie with creamy mash and gravy at the bar, and it arrived piping hot and absolutely delicious! Every bite was a flavor explosion. Highly recommend this spot to any American visiting London!
It’s always good to come to St Stephen’s Tavern. Arguable, this is the restaurant that serves the best fish and chips in Britain. Love the crispy fish and chips. The taste has been consistent. Tonight we had Andy making sure our food came on time and it was hot as usual. Dining upstairs was a great experience as well. It’s always good to have friendly staff like Andy helping out with phone chargers just to keep a good evening going. St Stephen Tavern is my go to place and would happily recommend it to all folks visiting Westminster or central London.
An exciting environment with international tourists having a taste of British food. Although the menu is small, they have delicious classic dishes. Brought my mum here who hadn’t had fish and chips in many years and she finished her whole plate. House cider was deliciously smooth and sitting outside was delightful.Food: 5/5
Wonderful pub with friendly service and good food. Enjoyed the fish and chips and the chicken fingers were decent. Server took time to explain the beers. Great location too.Food: 5/5
Remember this: "St Stephen's Tavern bar is a hidden gem! The service was outstanding, with a wonderful team that was courteous, warm, and inviting. The delectable food perfectly complements their impressive selection of British Ales and beers. The atmosphere was vibrant, making it a fantastic place to unwind and have a great time. The bar was spotless and well-organised, elevating the overall experience. You really feel welcomed there. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fantastic evening out!"
I had an absolutely delightful experience at this charming pub! The fish and chips were cooked to perfection, with a golden, crispy batter and tender, flaky fish inside. The chips were just the right combination of crunchy and soft, seasoned beautifully. The ambiance of the pub added to the enjoyment, featuring cozy seating and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Definitely a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and delicious fish and chips!
The food was delicious. However, our server was extremely rude and acted like he didn't want us there. We ordered 2 fish and chips as well as drinks. When the food came out, we only received one fish and chips and when we brought it to another server's attention because our server never came back to our table, we were essentially blamed for the mishap. We sat outside in the slanted patio area, and I'm not sure why this area is used for seating. It's in an alleyway that smells heavily of urine. And neighboring establishments unload trash there. We would not go back due to the service alone, which is unfortunate, because the food was outstanding.
The fish and Chips and the BBQ is delicious, the restaurant is typical with beautiful interiors, in front of the beautiful Queen Elizabeth. tower. The waitress got angry about everything, but we still had a good time.Food: 5/5
Absolutely excellent, I hadn't been in there 2 mins and a very kind member of staff had already brought her a clean bowl of water This is a 4paw star review Most excellent 100% dog friendly Excellent staff Thank you, staff at St Stephens Tavern Hall &,woodhouse always impress me
Slow service today whilst the staff were all crowded around the stairs I was waiting for a pint. I’ve always enjoyed this pub for its traditional look however I was most dismayed when I realised they didn’t service NECK OIL. Instead I had a pint of house lager/helles 4/5 as the pint was decent.
