Wow what a beautiful country pub the food was incredible! Staff were so polite and genuinely lovely people. Dogs welcome so was nice to have a sit down meal and have our pups with us. We enjoyed it so much we booked a table to return tomorrow Food: 5/5
Friendly staff, found the food rather expensive and charged £3 for a bit of sauce, so my meal was just short of £30.Food: 4/5
Really lovely little pub. The food was good, the two ladies serving us were lovely and plenty of parking Vegetarian options: A good selection of veggie options
Fantastic food, service and welcome. We ate outside with our dog as the evening sun was out! but were told we were welcome inside. We ordered inside and bar was bright and modern. The service was friendly and warm and the locals were too. We enjoyed a delicious dinner on the first evening of our week away. Could go back every eve. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Dog friendly, visitor friendly, good size car park.
I came here for a meal out with my wife, brother and his girlfriend. We didn't book but just kind of found it nearby our campsite and thought we'd go out for dinner. We arrived, parked and headed in. It was fairly busy. We asked for a table and we're seated. Wooden chairs, clean table, carpet, windows, a big TV. They swiftly brought us menus, we ordered drinks, they brought the drinks. I had a tribute and it was fantastic. So far, so good. They took our food orders. It came quite fast. It was all pretty nice. The lasagne had very little meat in but tasted good. The katsu curry was very spicy but the menu didn't warn that would be the case. But it was all enjoyable enough. Then it all went a bit downhill. There was clearly a quiz starting soon. We aren't locals, and perhaps it's wrong to judge a pub on one occasion, but this was our only occasion so how else can we judge it? When we arrived and asked for a table there was no mention of a quiz. The place quickly became packed and rowdy. We couldn't hear ourselves talking. The staff didn't come back to take a pudding order. They just totally forgotten t about us. After maybe 45 minutes I went went to ask for someone to take our pudding orders. Someone came but didn't know what the cheesecake of the day was. My sister in law ordered it on chance as they clearly weren't going to go and find out. Turns out it was a Toffee flavour. She hated it. My pudding was excellent the brownie. My wife ordered sticky toffee pudding with custard. It came with ice cream instead. So it started well but they became uninterested in us when the quiz was starting. We quickly paid up and left. Nobody came to ask how our puddings we're or showed any interest in the fact that it wasn't all eaten. Maybe another night would have been a much better experience. Overall I've still given 4 stars as it was pretty good.
Service was great, very friendly barmaid. Food was overpriced and we both had upset stomachs ½an hour later... And I don't get an upset stomach very easily. Atmosphere was very lacking. More like a club than a pub.Food: 1/5
Nice venue and the outdoor tent is great. Staff seem friendly and accomodating. The food okay but wouldn't hurt to add some seasoning, some herbs maybe.
Our 1st eating out for a long time. Team Panda have really made the whole eating outside a real enjoyable & safe experience. The outside seating area is better than before. Well done to everyone involved. My partner had a sandwich & I had a ciabatta with side of chips. Lovely dressed salad.
We love Lanivet Inn. I lived in the Village about 25 years ago and it has changed so much.If you come off the Bodmin bypass Lanivet sits just below on the old road. We didn't book and that wasn't a problem. We sat in the main bar but would advise to ask if you can be seated in the dining rooms further down if you want a quiet meal but if like us you prefer to watch sportfootball in our case it's great. Being a Sunday we ordered roast lunch. My husband had the large which was enormous with a mix of Beef,Pork & Turkey.Dishes of fresh veg which was really generous helpings. My small roast was a one choice of Roast Pork with the most perfect crackling. Prices for this were really good. Outside at the pub is a front area facing the road with plenty of tables and at the rear there is a fantastic gazebo/marquee and a covered garden seating. Good parking but if it was full just a minutes walk is a public car park.
A fantastic pub, we visited for lunch and the service, quality and value of the food can't be faulted. We went there for a change from going to the Swan in Wadebridge again another place that is well worth checking out.Food: 5/5
