Story

Lake Vyrnwy Hotel sits high on the hills of the Berwyn Mountains, overlooking Lake Efyrnwy. The estate features an award-winning restaurant, luxury spa and on-site clay pigeon shooting.

With wonderful views, the elegant rooms at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel & Spa feature a flat-screen TV and a work desk. All rooms have a luxurious bathroom with quality toiletries and fluffy robes.

The stylish restaurant has an AA Rosette, and serves a creative evening menu and fine wines. Tower Tavern Bar features real log fires, free Wi-Fi and a grand piano, and there is also a terrace.

Our favourite place! This hotel is SO atmospheric. The rooms are lovely too. We have been there three times now in a year, that’s how good it is. We have enjoyed the rooms overlooking the lake, especially as the sun rises. The mist rolls along the lake from one end of the valley to the other, making it look like something out of Game of Thrones. Food is excellent and the breakfast is so filling that we didn’t even need lunch. Well done! We will be back - probably with the rest of the family!

I would just like to say what a wonderful and magical place this is. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, me and my partner did our first spa day here and the spa staff were amazing. We then went to see our room which to a great surprise were treated with room 3 with a bath in the window massive balcony lovely bed, clean and tidy. How wonderful. I would just like to say a massive thank you to all the staff you are all amazing there and not one fault i could give of this place. Highly highly recommend and im sure we all return again Ebony

Room 35 - the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. Fabulous view over the lake. Great star watching skies on the balcony. Huge bathroom. Only downside.... decor looks tired and some outdoor spruce-up needed. But would def go again ..... the breakfasts alone are delicious .

Actually a really lovely place with friendly staff and great facilities. The views over the lake are impressive. There are some awesome walks nearby, although you really need a car to get to them. Even though the weather was damp, it didn't dampen our stay

Brilliant stay here. The staff were excellent throughout, very welcoming and accomodating. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are in excellent condition throughout with beautiful views. The food was delicious, perfect in both the restaurant and bistro. Would highly recommend a visit and will be coming back again soon!
