Reviews
This place is apparently in between owners, it is being looked after by someone out of their depth. The place has been allowed to drift from what appear to have been good standards. The evening menu is only available on Friday and Saturday. The accomodation is tired. Until the new owner takes over and hopefully improves the place the Talbot is a better bet.

The people that own it could not give a toss .On mothers day it had enough bookings 3 times over , all had to be cancelled because ALAN who does the bar and the rest of the work was denied any help they expected him to cook, do the bar , look after people that had booked , and do the waiting, It is owned by Marstons

Great place good food and beer Stayed nany times , doesn't loose its charm and reasonable prices

Stayed for 2 nights. This place is old and has great character. Oak beams everywhere. 2 ales on hand pumps that tasted good. The reasurant served simple but good quality food. Staff freindly and helpful. Would recommend.
