Always a pleasure to visit this venue and Port Sunlight in general. This was built by Lord Lever after the death of his partner Lady Lever. Their tombstones are now adjacent to each  other in the port sunlight church graveyard - its so sweet. After death his art collections from his various mansion houses were moved here. As it is now managed via Liverpool council - museums, there are many events ongoing throughout the year told mainly through pictures words and music. Recently I have attended an exhibition relating to a female model who was from Liverpool. Also a guitar recital which was very relaxing to listen to - carried out in the same room where Lord Lever laid for a while after his death (at his request).

A great trip out with something for everyone. The collections are fantastic but it also tells the history of the family. Very good digital interpretation of many items. Activities for the children as well. Fantastic selection of food freshly prepared and great coffee. Also very easy to park well worth a visit. The staff in the cafeteria are particularly helpful and friendly.

Love wandering around this gallery. It's not too big. Lovely paintings and other items. My favourite is a large painting of the Chelsea pensioners sitting in church. So detailed. Good cafe & shop in basement. Would  recommend a visit

Beautiful building that was specifically made to house Lord Leverhulmes collection of all kinds of art. With a beautiful old fashioned cafe downstairs. Worth a visit if you like art & architecture.

Great place to take a few hours out of your day and absorb some lovely scenery and beautiful works of art. The small cafe downstairs serves an amazing selection of mouthwatering cakes that would give Mary Berry a run for her money.
