Great library, information center, IT center, agency and historic landmark all rolled in one. Right in the heart of Town too. Lots of books on basically all genres to read for all y'all book lovers. Free WiFi too. Rest rooms are very clean with a baby changing surface for the mothers.
There is a well stocked kiddies area that will keep them occupied too.
I enjoyed my read here.

Very relaxed and laid back atmosphere at Leigh Library (also known as the Turnpike Centre). The staff are always friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to try and assist you. The moving of Council services into the library interior hasn't dampened down the atmosphere either. The library has plenty of reading materials and over 40 computers to use. The library even has a self service printing terminal. Awesome. Even though there are several other smaller libraries dotted around Wigan, the Turnpike Centre is always the one I use more frequently.

I love it and the staff are brilliant, helpful and pleasant it's just such a pity there aren't as many of them as there used to be.
