Soon after visiting the Tate Modern in London I visited the Tate in Liverpool. In Liverpool even the men's hand wash basins are artistic. This old warehouse has strong vaulted ceiling supporting heavily loaded floors above. Arching in two directions the masonry is magnificent. beautifully laid stone blocks that must have been supported during construction by amazingly complex and exact wooden formwork. Both lost arts today.

Splendid collections. The Roy Lichtenstein and kens collection were superb; manageable size, quality and variety. Not everything else was to my taste but it would be a bland collection that appealed universally. The space, lighting and citation are excellent.

Great gallery. Well organised and well laid out. It can be a little busy but it’s free and worth the wait. The art work ranges in median and size so there is always something for everyone. The gift shop is good and well priced. The toilets are clean. Lockers are available too.

This gallery has fantastic exhibitions that are interesting and eye-catching. I recommend this gallery to those who love the style of abstract and pop art. What could be improved are the placements of some information boards for the art pieces. Besides from this its a great gallery.

An amazing collection hosed in a beautiful gallery. There are lots of well known pieces in the collection and some breathtaking art. I would like to come back again next time, a great afternoon for anyone who likes art.
