We had a delicious lunch here last Sunday (NYE). Staff were delightful and did excellent. However, as I left the restaurant I put one foot on the wooden decking outside the front door and crashed to the floor.. It had been pouring with rain all afternoon and the wood was very slippery but you could see there used to be some sort of rubber matting on the slats but it had worn away. I'm not posting this for any ulterior reason, just in the hopes that it will prompt the owners to step up the maintenance regime. If an older person had fallen as I did, there would definitely have been broken bones!

Return visit for us after a 2 year absence, and we weren't disappointed. We don't live locally but had remembered a delicious meal we'd had previously so decided to have lunch here again whilst in the area on holiday. Set meal lovely and excellent value. Both the meat and fish eaters amongst us were more than happy with our steak and plaice, meals with a proper French twist. Welcoming staff too.

Nicely set out dining area, in what looks like a new restaurant. Good eating options, and good food. Staff really helpful

Lunch was just lovely. My father-in-law had the pork which he said was moist and tasty, though the crackling was a bit challenging for him. The cod was perfect and the accompaniments interesting and delicious. Service couldn't have been better. It's a lovely spot to sit outside on a sunny day.
