I have been coming to this takeaway for years. All the Chinese takeaways in the area are pretty decent tbf but this is my favourite go to place, I recommend the Curry dishes, Singapore Rice or Noddles. I’ve read some of the bad reviews on here where ppl have tried it once and decided to run a family business down, I’m sure these are the same ppl that have never cooked a bad meal at home themselves. In the 20 years I have been using this takeaway yes there may be one or two meals that weren’t up-to their usual standards but It gets 5 stars in my book for quality and consistency over that time.
We were ordering food regularly since we moved to Newtown 2 years ago. The food was really good, always nice portions and high quality food and full of flavour, it was highly recommended. Now since maybe 6 months every time we ordered something it was worse and worse. Today we ordered and the food was not seasoned, they watered down the sauce, in egg fried rice there was no egg at all. Raw veg in our meals, just sad how they’re ruining their food and dropping the standards. I will never come back again, I’m sure that my friends and family will do the same.
Good quality food. The spare ribs in the sizzling sauce was lovely. Excellent service.

What a waste of time!! Chips were like they were boild, sweet and sour chicken Chinese style was just chicken balls in the sauce, rice sub Par. Never again will I be going there again.
Enjoyed takeaway here while on holiday nearby. Food was really tasty, had king prawns with bamboo shoots and water chestnut & the wife had chicken with ginger and spring onion crab & sweetcorn soup. The staff are so helpful and welcoming, and food was still hot after our 15 min drive back to the cottage. Busy and extremely popular which told us the food was good ......and it was.
The food was ok. Some dishes lacking in flavour and seemed similar to other dishes. They only take cash too unfortunately.
Came on holiday to wales and tried this one of the nights, very tasty fresh food and good value for money
By far the best Chinese food I've ever had, and I've been to at least 40 Chinese takeaways. Brilliant menu, really fast and friendly service. I recommend the crispy beef pekingese style, and the duck in plum sauce. This is more than 5 x as good as the next best Chinese takeaway in Newtown. If this is closed, have beans on toast!
