Story

Mirrens is at the heart of the Newtown and Montgomeryshire food scene, delivering great tastes from the very best local, Welsh and Continental suppliers to discerning diners in this historic market town. Our reputation is built upon world-class ingredients, from celebrated locally-produced Welsh meat to creative tapas fashioned from the best produce Spain can offer.

Combining the style and tastes of a Spanish menu with the outdoor experience that celebrates a rich culinary heritage, Mirrens has a courtyard at the rear of the restaurant for you to dine al fresco, or just enjoy your drinks. We also have a Moroccan inspired chill-shed, colourful and beautifully decorated, this is a novel space to enjoy your evening!

Whether you are dining with us or just relaxing with friends, our new Lounge Bar provides an elegant start to any evening. You can be assured of style, value and the warmest of welcomes as you sample professionally made cocktails from our extensive menu or drinks from our comprehensive bar range.

Soak in our local heritage as we celebrate the work of renowned local historian Frank Moore with a wonderful collection of his photographs displayed throughout the restaurant, there to catch the eye as you explore our 2016 improvements.

We are open for lunch and evening meals, a venue to make any special occasion even more special. Mirrens is perfect for couples to enjoy romantic meals together and it's also a fantastic venue for larger groups too.
