Stayed here for one night visiting friends in a party of 12. Very impressed, hotel is in a good location for all amenities. Rooms are lovely decorated, spacious and clean, with lovely little touches. Staff are welcoming and very polite. Arrived late for breakfast, but still got served, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend anyone staying here. Room was lovely. Hotel in a great location. Rooms: The cleanliness and little touches.
We visited Richmond as a large family at the beginning of 2023 and we decided to book for two nights in the restaurant. We precooked food for both nights and it was amazing. Everything was perfect. The staff were very helpful and the chef prepared lovely food. Both evenings were lovely and Trish helped with the bookings and deposits. Thank you for another lovely family meal and we wish you all the best in 2023. Nearby activities: Lots to explore in Richmond. The castle, the railway, the river and plenty of shops bars etc. Walkability: Easy to reach in the centre of Richmond Food & drinks: Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Coffees soft drinks and cocktails.
We had our wedding reception at the hotel, the evening package, and everything was excellent. Louise and Sophie made everything easy for our big day, the food was lovely and the service first class. Very clean rooms and great toiletries with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits too. We would highly recommend this venue for anyone thinking of having a wedding reception in Richmond. A very big thank you to the staff for making our day go so smoothly.
Excellent, staff excellent. Food was also good. The room was spotless and large, airy and warm. Bathroom was also large and warm. Just a little warning, they do charge for parking and if you are staying a week it will cost you an extra £70. Also a 10% service charge on food. Overall a very nice place and we are already planning another stay.
Called in for lunch yesterday. We were met with a lacklustre attitude by what I assume was the manager. Rude to her staffing customers. We she asked why I hadn't eaten my meal, I told her the steak had a sour taste and pungent smell, her response was "I've sold lots of those today and nobody else has complained". No acknowledgement, no apology, no manners! Serious staff training is needed. Avoid if you area lover of good food and great service!
We spent two nights here with our dog. The weather was awful but the hotel more than made up for it. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The food was really good, it was served quickly and the staff checked that everything was right. Walkability: It is situated in the middle of the square in Richmond surrounded by shops and places to eat and drink.
Walked in, zero greeting. In itself not all bad but my girlfriend waited at the bar for 5+ minutes without even being acknowledged. She asked politely if it was bar or table service , ‘Yeah bar service’ , she replied ‘Not even a hello or be with you in a minute’, they replied ‘well we have 10 cocktails on so…’ We went elsewhere.
It's an old building so it comes with some querks. Rooms are well equipped with lots of nice extras. Service and food were excellent. Located right on the market place which is lovely for a stroll.

Excellent hotel and we're made to feel very welcome by all staff. Staff were great were friendly and looked after us well. Rooms and food were very good too - rooms and hotel very clean. Highly recommended and hope to go bk again one day.Rooms: 5/5
