Me and my mum stayed here Thursday as we were watching my brother pass out from the army. Luckily the pub quiz was on so we joined for the evening, the host was brilliant and there was a great atmosphere. I forgot to put our dietary requirements vegan for breakfast and the lovely lady sent someone out to pick up fruit and oat milk for us we didn’t even ask. Was a really lovely touch. Room was perfect, great for the money. Would definitely stay again.
The rooms need little things like, bed side lights, a small table and chair. More consistency with the continental breakfast. Orange juice only on one day of three, unused food should not be left for the second day. I made the manager aware so room 3 should have been sorted if they have taken my suggestions. Pub food was great, thanks.Rooms: 2/5
Lovely pub with warm atmosphere. Shout out to Nathan for outstanding customer service throughout our stay. Quirky, clean and comfortable rooms. Good food. No negatives at all. Hope to stay again soon . Highly recommendedRooms: 5/5
Amazing food, lacking service. I love this pub, the atmosphere and menu is amazing, but the service just seems awkward. We were not directed where to sit until I asked about our booking, where the girl behind the bar pointed over my shoulder at a man who said he would seat us, who was wearing a white t-shirt and trainers- looked like a customer so we had no idea he was trying to seat us. Generally just felt slightly unwelcome on some visits- but some have been fantastic. Their phone & booking service is fantastic!
We visited for a couple of nice drinks after walking our dog and recieved a warm welcome including the dog who was made a fuss of. The day after I phoned up to enquire about dining in with our dog and a table in the bar area was reserved for us and again we were warmly welcomed on arrival. The service was 1st class all night and all the staff super friendly. Our food was delicious, starters and main course - had a really lovely evening
Will definitely be back. They called to see if we were OK as we were running late due to the fog on the 66. Be early next time to try the food. Drinks prices are reasonable. Also the singer was good.Rooms: 4/5
A little overpriced - considering the room was in need of some tlc the paint was peeling from the furniture . A good size room but lacked seating. The saniflo toilet was noisy. Never before have we paid to find our breakfast 2 packets of frosties 2 croissants in our room ready for the following morning there was plenty of teabags but the coffee sachets were all decaf. The bed was clean and comfortable.
Called in for an evening meal, while staying at a caravan site for a night. The staff are very welcoming. Our meal was excellent, good portion size, all reasonably priced. We'd definitely go again.Service: 5/5
Great family pub with different areas - lounge with plenty of tables & booth seating, conservatory restaurant overlooking good sized beer garden & bar with pool table. Friendly staff & lots going on during the week with food offers etc & an afternoon Halloween party this weekend for the kids! Very popular Sunday carvery which is what we had come for, be sure to book!
Fantastic well presented pub, food stunning, very high standard, staff very attentive. Over all a great place for food and drinkRooms: 5/5
