What a hidden gem Kelvin Cycles is! Wow I am so pleased Halfords Hellfrauds were useless as always as I now have a beautiful road bike at a fantastic price not to mention the brilliant customer service Tony gave was impeccable! So friendly and knowledgeable too. I remember buying a bike over 30 years ago from Kelvin Cycles and the shop still looks the same now. Don't let that put you off, its a tardis of a bike shop with an amazing collection of bikes of all types and sizes. Support your local bike shop and keep this wonderful store in business!
Good value service, got my Shimano R500 rear wheel hub serviced, as well as front shifter and a new tyre for £35. Given honest advice about suitable groupsets and when to upgrade/ Downsides, they don't sell much by way of accessories/clothing. The bike-frames are all budget friendly, not much by way of top-end models from what I could see. Also they didn't sell dry-lube, which is one of my biggest bike-consumables edit - Just had to drop the Service score down to Poor to Fair - they don't do groupset replacements. Not sure why, the mechanics seem capable enough.
Very helpful good range of bikes and parts, have used for years and never been disappointed
was treated very badly by this shop was accused of not knowing how to ride a bike.had constant problems with chain dropping off but refused to fix problem,eventually gave up and sold bike.stay well clear.
