The man who served us was so helpful. We took our son’s bike it because it had a rusty chain and even though he didn’t have a replacement, he used a solution in the chain that made it loose again and wouldn’t accept payment. Highly recommended - excellent service
Really great bike shop! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and had everything I needed. I recently bought a second hand bike and was looking to get a helmet, bike lock etc. and wasn't sure what to look for. They talked me through all the options, showed me how it all works, and also gave great suggestions given I'd said I had a fairly low budget. I would highly recommend this store!
We had a good hour yesterday with Matt at the Leamington branch. He showed a clear passion for bikes, with a love himself for the sport. He spoke directly to my son 11 while I stood back and listened. He directed all his advice and questions at him, and explained the differences in bikes, specs etc. a top man, and a great asset to Evans Leamington. Young guys like Matt are few and far between. Keep working hard. And thanks for your outstanding service.
Sadly not great. Having phoned ahead to book in for a large service and possibly buy a new emtb and following a 45min drive we were greeted by 2 members of staff, one of whom we’d spoken with on the phone, only to hear that the store doesn’t currently have a mechanic and perhaps we should try Giant around the corner. Waste of time effort and 2 salaries. Sack both get 1 mechanic.
I had a great experience at Evans Cycles. I came in with no knowledge about bikes and unsure about what I needed. Matthew from Evans Cycles spent nearly an hour showing me different bikes and explaining differences between them. Based on his recommendations I purchased a bike that I am very happy with! Other staff members were very helpful too fitting mud guards etc Highly recommend!
Disappointing service. I had used the online booking to have a service done, booked a slot, chose my preferred level of service. Sounds simple? That is until you arrive with your bike at the booked hour to find shop staff have no record of your booking because their IT systems aren't linked. OK, fair enough, but to then be told they can't do anything as they don't have a mechanic in on a weekend. Isn't the weekend when most commuters would usually want to have their bike serviced? The chap in the store was rather dismissive of the issue - "we've had this issue for ages, nothing we can do about, and anyway you've not booked a service, the online booking is for an assessment." I suppose that's a bit of a moot point anyway given you don't have a mechanic in on a weekend It was suggested that they might be able to take a look on Sunday but couldn't promise anything, we left with the agreement that it could be collected around noon on Monday. Next issue - I get back to the store around 1ish to pick up the bike, to find they hadn't even stated to look at it, because they had to prioritize other things. Another wasted trip and another waste of time. Staff really didn't seem to think this was an issue, nor did they seem to show any compassion, the "not my problem" attitude isn't great! Is this really the level of service to be expected from a national retailer?
Ben was super helpful, speedy and knowledgeable. I went in about my spin bike shoes and he fixed them instantly and advised when I would need new cleats. Would definitely recommend for a trusted service.

Could not speak more highly of the service received by Ben, the shop mechanic, over the bank holiday weekend! Was left in a sticky situation when, on the Saturday, the wheel manufacturer sent the wrong warranty item for a rim replacement and with me planning on going away with the bike first thing Tuesday after the long weekend, options seemed non-existent. Ben was very knowledgeable and advised on what parts could solve the problem, and when I did manage to hunt one down, he worked well past closing time on bank holiday Monday to rebuild the wheel, so that I was ready to fly away on my trip early Tuesday. Outstanding service, thank you, Ben!
