Chain snapped during a cycle through Leamington. Phone out of battery, this was the closest shop I came across. I purchased a quick link, and kindly asked if I could borrow a chain tool to get me home. They refused to help me as it was 'against their policy'. So it was a long walk to the next shop - where they even fitted the link for me. Unfriendly, and not willing to help cyclists in trouble. Certainly won't use for any of my maintenance/purchasing in the future!
I found this bike shop excellent. Great personal service and advice. It was nice to talk to someone who wasn't driven by the desire to make "a sale" but who wanted to help me make the right choice. Picked up my new Whyte 605 yesterday without a hitch and they upgraded the peddles while I waited and had a chat. Will be visiting again.
Terrible service. Terrible cheap parts. Took old bike in to have gears set up and general check over. Ignored me at first, charged £60 for gear set up and new small cog for gears. Didnt check or test rest of bike. Went to ride off and chain was slipping on front, took back and they explained i needed new front cogs. I asked what they were going to replace with and he showed me a new cog that had teeth missing cheap chinese crap. i pointed out what he was going to fit onto my bike and how cheap it is. Told them they were con artists, and i felt robbed. Took bike elsewhere. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Had bottom bracket fitted they chipped the paint on both sides on a brand new bike and told me it was wear and tear.really on a brand new bike.and was then told that the warranty on the bottom bracket was only 90 days.terrible bike shop with terrible customer service avoid completely and find another shop.o n top of everything else they did not phone me back to say job was done I had to phone them unbelievable!
Closed today Thursday when I tried to take bike in for remedial work subsequent to service.
Handy LBS...just what you need.
